Well this is the shot that made it into the 2008 channel ten weather calendar, so I’m pretty proud of that.Getting this into the calendar was my first… ‘public’ recognition of my work so this is a pretty special shot to me. it is lightning over Adelaide looking down from Mount Osmond. It was taken in December 2006 and featured on the following nights news broadcast.

This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before he realized he wasn’t interested in tulips. Wild flowers are everywhere throughout the fields and on the roadsides in Turkey this May! As you can imagine I didn’t get far on my bike… / :) Oh nearly forgot this was taken on a borrowed camera a Nikon coolpix 4800 and the step up in quality from my usual Fuji Finepix A500 shows! (I may n ot be able ot bring myself to give it back teehee!)

this guy has been a fav of many since the day i took this shot, and yes he does look great printed! he’s a cardinal that lives around my home, this was taken a couple of winter’s ago (2005), he’s sired at least 5 nests of eggs since then, bringing his kids around

Wow .. I was so absolutely thrilled to see this today .. I went to the bank and was later going to the woods to take a few photos ..I looked up because everyone one else is looking up…and there in the city ( not right downtown ) , sitting on a ledge where pigeons usually are on a store is this magnificent bird … Surprized to say the least !! Im so glad I had my camera with me .. I cant believe that hes living in this area .. lots of cars & people ..silly bird .. theres forest woods and a valley not to far from where I was and live .. This is so unreal to see him where I live !!!
