  • Smailholm Sunset
    by Colin Cartwright

    US$4.43–US$101.08

The defensive Tower house of Smailholm, just over the Scottish border, near Kelso. The tower was built in the mid 1400’s at a time when lawlessness and violent bands of reivers, ravaged the lands both sides of the English-Scottish border. And a solitary white swan, resides below the Tower Even today, the landscape is lonely, and you can easily imagine the starkness of those dark days.

  • The Watchman
    by PhotoDucky

    US$5.32–US$121.60

Monument Valley is located on the southern border of Utah with northern Arizona (around 36°59′N, 110°6′W). The valley lies within the range of the Navajo Nation Reservation, and is accessible from U.S. Highway 163. The Navajo name for the valley is Tsé Bii’ Ndzisgaii (Valley of the Rocks). / The area is part of the Colorado Plateau. The floor is largely Cutler Red siltstone or its sand deposited by the meandering rivers that carved the valley. The valley’s vivid red color comes from iron oxide exposed in the weathered siltstone. The darker, blue-gray rocks in the valley get their color from manganese oxide. / Monument Valley has been featured in many forms of media since the 1930s. Appearances include movies, such as Westerns by Director John Ford, and science fiction movies such as Back to the Future III; television appearances as in MacGyver; as well as DVD covers, book covers, and video games such as the Playstation 3 video game Motorstorm. source: wikipedia Taken with a Nikon D70s with a 18-200mm Sigma lens

  • My Bedroom View
    by steveberlin

    US$4.49–US$76.95

This is one of my very first sunset shots. The weather has been really nice and has made some very lovely sunsets. I happen to live on a hill which overlooks the San Gabriel Valley and this view is taken just to the south of my house. Downtown LA would be towards the right, facing this image. The sun lit up the sky and I pulled out my tripod quickly and tried to figure out the exposure. I took about 8 photos and this one came out the best. This was taken inside my bedroom. I have a balcony outside my room, but I thought taking it inside the room would be more cool hehe :) This was taken with a Canon Elan, 100mm lens, 35mm film, and shot at f4, 38 secs. taking into account reciprocity failure from the film.

  • Porch View
    by raae

    US$28.93

When i was a wee lass i would lay on my back on my Grandparents porch at dusk and wait for the bats to fly over… There were thousands of them and it went on forever. I loved the silhouettes and the colour of the sky behind them as the sun set. I stayed there until the last few bats flew across and they all disappeared. It was a really happy time for me as a child, just watching everything fly past. There was nothing to worry about, everything was beautiful and calm while i laid there. Sittin’ in the mornin’ sun / I’ll be sittin’ when the evenin’ come / Watching the ships roll in / And then I watch ‘em roll away again, yeah I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay / Watching the tide roll away / Ooo, I’m just sittin’ on the dock of the bay / Wastin’ time So this is my other something different comp entry. I’ve never designed anything from a childhood memory, this is one of my few ‘cleaner’ shirts, and i feel like its a lot more feminine and delicate than everything else i usually do. Plus ive never done anything with bats on it – but i’ve found a sweet PD image that im going to kick around for a little while.

The hills in the backround are the Willunga Hills. / We tryed to buy a block hear on stage 9 of the development but they all sold out in 15 minutes. This was about three months ago Update: Yah we got a block! Stage 10 / We had to ring up again & first in best dressed. We had 5 of us ring up to at 10am. We could not get through so we thought we missed again. Then my dad rang & said he got through. Then my mother in-law rang & she got through too.
