  • Firestorm

  • / / / Christmas Rainbows Nativity is a mixed media production on brown paper / I used white acrylic gesso under, with a mix of chalk pastel, black marker and charcoal to create this little piece especially for Christmas 2008 You may notice that each character has a Heart… / Jesus’ heart is white – symbolic of his purity / Mary has a pink heart – symbolic of a mother’s gentleness and softness / Joseph’s heart is red – symbolic of father’s strength and reliability The idea of sending Rainbow Wishes for Christmas 2008 seemed appropriate in light of our global situation, the Rainbow stands for Hope or Promises made that they will be fulfilled…. I think we are all hoping for the fulfillment of the promises made to us by our governments, our leaders, our friends and family for PEACE and GOODWILL towards all men, regardless of race or creed….and not least of all God himself who spoke about rainbows being a sign of promise and hope, and also Jesus who’s birth it is we celebrate, mainly because of the hope his birth put in our hearts for true freedom from our chains (but if you are not a believer, the artwork still speaks of the promise of hope…..if not a believer in hope…then this one isn’t for you …but perhaps it will speak to someone’s heart and help spread a little hope for the future around )

  • Take My Heart
    by amarica

    US$3.99–US$91.20

I could hear the rumbling and the roar / and the rain began to pour my love. / I could feel the sparks begin to fly / and I began to cry, my love. Take my breath away. / Take my heart and stay. / Wrap me in your arms / and never let me go, my love. Don’t in an angry moment / give up all we have / and throw it to the wind. / Don’t walk out that door, my love. We didn’t mean a word / of the things we said that hurt, / the things that broke each other’s hearts. / Let’s share a warm embrace, my love. Our hearts beat for one another / and our souls are deeply entwined. / Come look into my eyes, see into my heart / Leave the storm outside, come and share my love. amari This art was created as the third in the Hot Fractal art challenge for Fractal Frenzy.
