  • Acrylic on canvas 70×50 cm / 2005 (original available) I have a fascination for painting with lines…it starts with one…then another and more…and sometimes I have only a small idea of what it will be….others it’s more preconceived…but along the way it’s amazing to watch these lines form into something tangible…it reminds me of life and how things join and connect to make more and more each day a life wave / in and out / out and in it rolls / in to the shore it drags / out to sea turbulent days / made of Grey / calm night / full moon shining constant motion / constant feeling life wave / take me away

  • Enjoy!

  • been reading about tribal child raising and the benefits, and we know I like birds… I began this art as abstract patterns, bubbles of pattern that transformed when I realised by putting a ‘fork in the road’ to the concentric circles, that I created an eye and beak. Before that, it could’ve been shown either way up. also, it transformed from earthy brown colours, to a colourful bird. ‘Is it art? ‘my teacher used to always question. He’s not here now. He’s just asking the question still! in my head! I like it-it’s bright, colouful and alive.

  • I also experimented with this image in photoshop. I cut, cropped and merged two flowers from two different pictures together. I dusted them lightly with clouds (photoshop brushes) of different colors, basic brushes, special effect brushes and sharpened the image (filter gallery). I also altered the color (filter forge) and detail. Then I added swirls and leaves (more photoshop brushes) and added some style to it. I love the way this came out!!

  • Please see RoyAllenHunt’s written piece: Are You Ok With This. His incredible song is a compliment to this piece. See here for how I created this shot. I really thought I would wait at least two weeks before I tried this again, but then I went hunting in the pantry and found more dye and well, curiosity and motivation got the better of me tonight! Red and green dye this time around. Green was dropped in first, and allowed to swirl around a fair bit, then the red came in. It looked so much like blood coursing through someone, or something..
