This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before he realized he wasn’t interested in tulips. On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

Continuation of my previous sunrise image, taken 14 minutes later as the ocean waits for the sun at Point Lonsdale beach looking over Port Phillip Bay to the Mornington Peninsula. This was one of the most beautiful sunrises that I have seen. Canon 40D w/ EF-S 10-22mm / Focal length @ 10mm / Aperture: f/22 / Shutter: 3.2sec / ISO: 100 Thanks to people in the Mornington Peninsula group who voted for this photo as their favourite in the Sunset… Sunrise beach scene challenge on 30/9/08. ~

To catch the sun rising over the mountain requires a 3AM wakeup call 2 hour drive and a short 1 mile hike to waters edge. In my book worth it! Dawn illuminates the cloud-capped peak of Mt. Rainier as it reflects in the the still waters of Bench Lake

On the 12th day of May 2008 I witnessed (along with thousands of others) a perfect circle in the form of a rainbow around the sun at about noon-time at a beautiful place in the Philippines. Completely perplexed, stunned and amazed at this extraordinary and divine sight, I HAD to create this artwork. Im not sure where you were or what you were doing at this same moment of time but I guess this is all we have. Small pigments of time all squeezed together. And if we’re blessed enough, we get moments like these and realise even for a second the gravity of God’s love. There were no photo’s taken at the time and all I had available to me was the memory of this moment… The moment my heart burned. Print available. / Vector digital art created in illustrator.

A beautiful morning unfortunatly due to a dead battery in my landrover and our other car having all its locks frozen I missed most of it and only manged a couple of images. As the morning colour was allready fading fast when I arrived at this location.
