We all need and hope for an angel to be watching over us, and this angel is especially for Christmas and the little one’s nursery. This one is so dear to my heart, and also especially designed for Christmas and the Calendars R Us Group Challenge for the next Christmas Calendar. I have been thinking about doing an angel for a long time, and finally this gave me the impetus to get moving on it. The brown paper is from a large roll of kraft, slathered with white gesso (acrylic paint) and handdrawn in pencil, then black felt pen…then coloured with colour pencil, chalk pastel, charcoal, and blended well….. later on, the design has been cut out in photoshop and a few extras applied to finish off…. A tshirt is available in this design also, and a children’s tee will soon be available through zazzle.

photoshop photos, PS brushes and model is (by) me / working with many layers of different transparencies and blending modes and six photos (all my own) + painting and smudging to make the ears and to attach the wings to the body. the orbs were painted and reflections added and distorted with the liquify filter. / close up close up 2

On a recent expedition, Magoo2 and I discovered this old rail tunnel in the Lincolnshire Wolds – which was no mean feat,- we had the nettle stings, mud scrapes and bruises [from being whacked by various tree branches during our ‘controlled descent’ of the overgrown gulley] to prove it! The tunnel seems to be Victorian, from the steeply vaulted roof, and is ‘faced and lined’ with higher grade materials [for show] at each end but bellies out to a larger bore built of red brick further in. There’s no trickery with this one, only ambient light and a ‘star effect’ courtesy of an f8 aperture.

/ Sailor Girl is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, I used ink, pastel, and some acrylic…..inks are mainly black, acrylics are mainly white, you can see the canvas texture showing through the pastel, which gives it a nice textured appeal I am really into sailing boats, hope you like this one :D Here’s another one available in a print at last!

You have seen this uploaded just yesterday perhaps.. I cleaned up a stray leaf. I also made it vertical. I was asked to do this as it would make a nice Holiday Card for Christmas. Now that sounds great to me.. / We shall see.. LOL / Chuck Send Out Some Cards For The Season / / /

I took my globe photo and added a fractilius and then a flood filter, then I added a butterfly plugin and then ran yet another fractilius, I then added 2 particles to get this effect… Programs used were corel and photoshop cs2, I also changed the hue and saturation to red. / Hope you like it… / / The Red / They say freak, / When you’re singled out, / The red, well it filters through.
