Pastel drawing and Apophysis overlays Under the wave it is altogether still, / Alive and still, as nourishing as sleep, / Down below conflict, beyond need or will, / Where love flows on and yet is there to keep, / As unconstrained as waves that lift and break / And their bright foam neither to give or take. from The return of Aphrodite by May Sarton

Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / />Framed Print / / Mounted Print Pilgrimage / mixed media production on paper, ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic Pilgrimage is about our passage through life, the boat represents the vehicle by which she travels, the wise animal represents the voice of wisdom, the bare tree represents a brand new slate on which to write each day, the crown speaks of how special each individual is. Pearls represent the tears of the moon and remind us that life may not be easy and we all struggle. The lotus represents strength through love. The daisies are for simplicity. The bindi is for spiritual insight. The red sky at night is a sailor’s delight…for a red sky at night indicates smooth seas on the morrow! As a fisherman’s daughter, I have witnessed the strange phenomena of a red sky numerous times….always turns out to be calm on the water next day – a great indicator.. red skies are a great indicator of smooth sailing ahead / Customers are welcome to email enquiries to karintaylor@exemail.com.au

Pastel drawing, scanned peacock feather and Apophysis overlays A Dream Within A Dream Take this kiss upon the brow! / And, in parting from you now, / Thus much let me avow- / You are not wrong, who deem / That my days have been a dream; / Yet if hope has flown away / In a night, or in a day, / In a vision, or in none, / Is it therefore the less gone? / All that we see or seem / Is but a dream within a dream. Edger Allen Poe

Charcoal drawing, photo and Apophysis layers Gaia – she is rising they shovelled her screams into the pit of silence / and told her nothing was wrong / but she is waking they told her beauty was skin shaven clean / and denuded her of her undergrowth / but she is remembering encased in her corset of asphalt, they dressed her / in roads and cities for their pleasure / but she is rising she is rising like the mist on a clear, cold morning / millennia of sleep fall away from her like grieving / in the light of her regard nothing keeps its meaning / Gaia – she is rising

Upper Antelope Canyon – USA Tour 2008 The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tse’ bighanilini, which means “the place where water runs through rocks.” Upper Antelope is at about 4,000 feet in elevation and the canyon walls rise 120 feet above the stream bed. Though dry most of the year, Antelope Canyon runs, and sometimes floods, with water after rains. It is the water, slowly wearing away the sandstone grain by grain, that has formed the beautiful and graceful curves in the rock. Wind has also played a role in sculpting this fantastic canyon. / Click Here WARNING / ©2008 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.
