Ok so as the story goes… this was right place right time with a camera and imagination…. / I had just taken Dylan (son, featured) to the park for his afternoon play and was carrying around my Canon 20D (getting old now.. poor baby) and 50mm lens.. When we spotted this tiny little heart on the ground.. 1+1=2.. :D (I think?)

After arriving at the beach after work I started walking to the point but couldn’t resist taking a snap of this bucket that just happened to be sitting on the shore. There wasn’t even any people around so I wondered how it had got there… Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2 only, experimented with the new adjustment brushes which are coooool! Its an experiment…trying for selective colour in a crop of wild beauty / and after wrestling for hours with a pesky lasso i managed to briefly subdue it (a first!) and then fumbled the keyboard…arriving somehow at this after rubbing out some scruffy bits. FOR THE FALLEN With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children / England mourns for her dead across the sea, / Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit, / Fallen in the cause of the free. Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal / Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres, / There is music in the midst of desolation / And glory that shines upon our tears. They went with songs to the battle, they were young, / Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow, / They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted, / They fell with their faces to the foe.
