  • Boner Bridge was build in 1869. It is the oldest iron bridge in Indiana in its original location and still carrying traffic. It spans the Little Pigeon Creek seperating Warrick and Spencer Counties. It was refurbished by the two counties and three historical societies in 2007. It is believed there are only about 5 of these bridges left in the United States. I think it is wonderful something almost 150 years old is still in use.   • My great grandmother lived on this hill in Warrick County, Indiana. In the 1950s Alcoa bought all the land and there were still cattle grazing on the other side of the hill this spring. Grandmother married a farmer, my mom couldn’t wait to “get off the farm” and my younger son couldn’t wait to get out of the city and lives about 5 miles from here. I think he’s back where we started…
