  • The Robin I will donate 100% of proceeds from the sales of this image to The Wildlife Trusts The UK’s favourite bird – with its bright red breast it is familar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown. Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They will sing at night next to street lights. / Where to see them Captured In town location Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. England. Across the UK in woodland, hedgerows, parks and gardens. / When to see them All year round. / What they eat Worms, seeds, fruits and insects.

  • This is another small garden of mine with a tree stump for the core of it with a birdbath dish resting on top. What you see here is what I see without the effects outside my window where I sit daily on the computer.

  • Whilst on holiday in North Yorkshire, England, I had chance to meet up with my good friend from Redbubble, Paul McGuire. We decided to meet up an go take some sunrise photos. Needless to say that 3am came very quickly, and I drove to pick Paul up from Scarborough, and then onto Ravenscare near Robin Hood’s Bay along the North Yorkshire coastline. Our first idea was a field with a fence right along the edge of the cliffs. Though this was beautiful, we didn’t feel it was quite right. We then decided to walk down a path which is part of the Trail Acorn way to Robin Hood’s Bay. We soon came to a clearing in the trees that gave us a beautiful view of the open grounds and battlements of the Raven Hall Hotel. The Battlements date back to Roman times. It was built as a fort for by the Romans in the 5th century. It is an outstanding view. I will be uploading two more images similar to this one. What a glorious morning we had. Canon EOS-1Ds Mark ll / 28-300mm IS zoom lens / f/29 / 6 second shutter speed / ISO 100 / Cokin graduated ND filter (121)

  • The Scarlet Robin, or Petroica Boodang is found in south eastern and south western Australia. It is a medium-sized robin, with a plump and compact appearance. This is a male, as he has a black head, neck and upperparts with a conspicuous white patch above the bill (frontal patch). The breast is scarlet red and the lower underparts are white. This lovely male let me photograph him briefly at Porter Scrub, near Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills. Canon 40D, Canon 70-300, 1/320 sec at F9, ISO 400, textures added in photoshop.
