Well I figured I’d put another of these landscape shots from Moab here. Took this shot earlier this spring on one of our many hikes in Arches National Park. Double Arch is very impressive and offers great views on the horizon. / Cheers
This is Joffres Provincial park once more. Took this shot at the very end of the last lake facing the glacier hoping to show depth and width of this area. Again, this glacier used to be in the water not that long ago. / camera : Canon Xt, Sigma 17-35mm lens
Another Moab shot taken last spring as we were having fun hiking around, figured why not have a human reference to show the size. well there you have it, it’s that big.
Took this image as we were hiking in the Arches National Park in Utah. Really found this area so amazing from the rock formations (arches) to how well the Nature (trees, plants, wildlife) had adapted to a incredibly hard and arid environment. Pretty much everything has a purpose out in the desert and it’s true, only the strongest survive the elements. Always thought this image shows this in a way. / Canon Xt, Sigma 17-35mm, UV filter, better viewed full screen / As is with no post editing / Cheers

During our last Spring road trip which brought us many different National Park, we decided last minute to go by Yosemite National park and now realize that this is a must to anyone willing to explore. We were lucky in the sense that the Park ranger were able to find us a campground for the night which was better then nothing at this point and allowed us to explore to area. We barely had to time skim the surface and we had to leave but we know we’ll be back. While we were there, we had a quick snack next to the river with this lovely waterfall in the background, can’t see how life can get any better then this. Canon Xt, 28-135 lens
Going back to this series of images I took about 2 weeks ago when my wife and I hiked up to Garibaldi Lake which is in Garibaldi Provincial Park. This hike takes about 7hours to cover and is about 20 km in lenght. It’s a pretty easy and mellow trail and very well marked, I don’t think anyone could get lost on this one. This image is taken from the campground located near the shores of this lake with this view , a series of differents glaciers and moutains. This is another HDR images composed of 3 images / Taken with my Canon Xt and a Tamron 28-105 Sp lens / Cheers
During our last road trip through the US, we went back home using a different route yet again and this time bringing us through the Gorge area (Columbia River). What a beautiful area and amazing waterfalls that we encountered before it started raining. One of the most impressive was the Multnomah Falls. Took this is B&W as the lighting didn`t seem to be collaborating. / Slow shutter and tripod used. / Canon Xt with my Sigma 17-35 mm lens Here more info about this one / Multnomah Falls is, of course, THE place to stop for tourists in the Columbia River Gorge area in Oregon. It is awesome how this waterfall seems to “tower” over everything, a sight to see. However, you will not have this wonderful waterfall to yourself. Try to get there early in the morning to avoid the rush. At around sunrise, there will probably be very few, if any, other people here, and it is a wonderful experience viewing this waterfall with no one else around. But at any other time of day, the hordes of people around the falls ruin the experience in my opinion. After you have had enough time basking in the presence of Multnomah, hike up to the top of the waterfall (2 miles RT). There’s not really a good view of the falls from the top, but there are other waterfalls up there, and also some good views of the Columbia River, and you can peer down at all the people looking up at the falls from the viewpoints below. / More info can be found at : http://www.waterfallswest.com/ and from there go in Oregon and find Multnomah falls. / Cheers

The Rocky Mountains in and around Banff National Park
BEST VIEWED LARGE! / The Nahatlatch Park protects one of the largest intact wetlands remaining in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. A series of small streams flow into, out of, and between the three lakes in the park; Frances, Hannah, and Nahatlatch. Their waters drain into the Nahatlatch River, which is 20 km upstream from its confluence with the Fraser. The powerful Nahatlatch River features a spectacular series of rapids, ideal for river rafting and kayaking. Those seeking a more tranquil experience will enjoy canoeing around and between the placid lakes, swimming in the backwater pools, and fishing along the lakeshores. Other activities for summer recreationists include backcountry hiking, and bird and wildlife viewing, and camping in a rustic setting. /
