The record is one of a four piece set of Seranades. Everything that the image of a dead baby brings to different people’s minds will often bring passionate reactions. These reactions fuel more reaction and it just goes on over and over again, like a broken record. The baby is meant to symbolize the struggle between their own sexual identity, violence, and love and the sacrifices we each make for the sake of those. At least thats how I see it. I would love to hear what it means to you (whoever is reading this right now) even if you dont particularly care for it.
.....We have Peters and Lee and Dean Martin, plus a book to read with no cover so i have no idea what it was. These wer just laying on the floor in one of the bedrooms

I had the pleasure of watching Rick (photo’s subject) do is thing with his drums at Fiasco Bros. Recording Studios last week. Rick allowed me to take shots of him while he layed down tracks for a cover song project. Playing around with various Photoshop filters I ended up with this creation, which easily spawned the title “Rythum In Blues”. The track Rick was drumming to is a cover version of Led Zepplin’s “Achillies Last Stand” with vocals by the fabulously talented (and dear friend) Susan Kovaks. Project produced by Len Osanic Led Zepplin Soundtrack video / Link provided by Redbubbler David Clark ACHILLIES LAST STAND / It was an april morning when they told us we should go / As I turn to you, you smiled at me / How could we say no? With all the fun to have, to live the dreams we always had / Oh, the songs to sing, when we at last return again Sending off a glancing kiss, to those who claim they know / Below the streets that steam and hiss, / The devils in his hole Oh to sail away, to sandy lands and other days / Oh to touch the dream, hides inside and never seen. Into the sun the south the north, at last the birds have flown / The shackles of commitment fell, in pieces on the ground Oh to ride the wind, to tread the air above the din / Oh to laugh aloud, dancing as we fought the crowd To seek the man whose pointing hand, the giant step unfolds / With guidance from the curving path, that churns up into stone If one bell should ring, in celebration for a king / So fast the heart should beat, as proud the head with heavy feet. Days went by when you and i, bathed in eternal summers glow / As far away and distant, our mutual child did grow Oh the sweet refrain, soothes the soul and calms the pain / Oh albion remains, sleeping now to rise again Wandering & wandering, what place to rest the search / The mighty arms of atlas, hold the heavens from the earth The mighty arms of atlas, hold the heavens from the earth / From the earth… I know the way, know the way, know the way, know the way (x2) Oh the mighty arms of atlas, hold the heavens from the earth.
“I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas Anymore” The centre of a record while spinning on a turntable :) Lyrics to ‘Over the Rainbow by E.Y. Harburg, made famous by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, and the quote is of course from the movie :)
Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Rivenhall Historic Church The Parish of St Mary & All Saints Rivenhall, Essex, England. This church is over a thousand years old and there has been Christian worship here as far back as Roman times. The church is an almost entirely Anglo-Saxon two-celled Church building, standing about 21 feet high, right up to its original eaves level. Radiocarbon dating of the wooden window-sill on the north side was pre-conquest (1066) and centred on 1000 AD. Rivenhall’s 12th Century stained glass was bought in 1839. The Parish of Rivenhall records at Essex Record Office, start in 1639. This church has significance for me, as family members of mine are buried in the church grounds and records show them as being baptised here as well. Canon EOS 350D SLR

This Osprey has robbed some unknown fisherman of “A Record Catch” by catching this largemouth bass for his family. I normally would not have taken this shot since the osprey was so far out when he dove. Then I saw he had a very large fish and could hardly fly with it as he took off after his dive. In the next shot I was able to get before he veered away from me you can see the shear size of this huge bass. I took this picture at the Fern Ridge Wildlife Areas Royal Amazon Unit in Lane County, Oregon / Best viewed larger. Taken with a Canon SX10 IS / ISO – 100 / TV – 1/636 / AV – F 5.72 / FocalLenth – 100.00mm / On July 3, 2009
Interesting view on old technology.
Back in the day…everyone would gather around the newest record on the wind up record player. If you were lucky you would be chosen to keep it wound up and playing. Recorded music was new to the world as so many thing were. You could listen close and feel like you were some place else…someplace other than your parents farm or store or the workshop where you spend 12 or 14 hours every day with sweat pouring down your back because its just so hot. So listen close and sway with the music and make believe you are someplace else…someplace much better… Taken with a Canon Rebel XSi Featured in Art By Bubble Hosts / November 2009 50% of what I receive from sales will be donated to help military families/children during the holidays…so spend large and lets help them out!
Taken with a Sony Alpha 200.
Once again, when you need to hide something that’s basically wrong with a shot, calling it jazz (often audio for “abstract”) sorta takes the bite out of it. LOL! I seem to have lost the unedited set of a couple hundred shots from the recording of the Caligator CD “Snapper”. It is most distressing because some of them were pretty good and none of them are replaceable since I was the only photographer there. :-( Oh well, four of them survived and can’t be salvaged much as fine photography without some jazzy improvisation. I didn’t want to include anyone else in the shot and no matter how I aimed, either Bill (bass player) or Corky (guitarist and vocals) was in the frame. To minimize that I used multiple filters in PhotoShop Elements 3, LightRoom, PaintShop Pro IX, and PhotoShop CS Extended. Finally, I was able to look at this as something artistic enough to unleash upon the world. LOL! All the editing was done in RAW format to preserve whatever I could from a non-DSLR camera. I’m now sold on RAW but it can be overwhelming seeing how much control you have long after you shot the image. And since the originals weren’t in RAW format, it was interesting to create a TIFF file and tear into it piece by piece. :-) Yes, I chopped off my fat belly intentionally. So there.
Shot with my newly restored Agfa Record III that my husband gave me for Christmas. She is teaching me much. www.bostonthekimagery.com
