  • Essence
    by DesignbySolo

    US$17.81–US$95.00

The last print, thus far, in the Prot +A series (a small series of prints that pays tribute to some of the technological innovations of the past that have helped shape society [and myself] but have now become outdated and fallen into disrepair). The centerpiece of the Essence print is a vintage Turntable. I never owned my own record player, being on the cusp of their demise, but I appreciate the technology and tend to prefer the ambiance of its sound. The Queen Anne’s Lace shows up throughout the series as a symbol of antiquity. I designed the overlying pattern especially for these prints, used primarily in the Essence print but also appearing in the Revolution (camera lens’) and Nostalgia (computer screen) prints. Check out my design blog designbysolo.com to view photographs of a printed version of this and other prints. Let me know if you find an image that is not offered in this store that you are interested in purchasing.

  • Okay! Well after a VERY hairy moment i got my image back! Not the same but its here…:( I love records! I love my dads records and everything about them! These ones were or are beyond use, they are old and mostly Motown singers, i LOVE Motown! Amazing! Awesome, awesome. I decided one day to hang them in a fejoa tree (that i also LOVE!) and this was the result, ive edited the color, it was shot in B&W and put a border around it…..call me nostalgic but i almost had a heart attack when i accidentally deleted it. The 70’s were a GREAT time and i love alot of things about that era, the fashion, hair and make up, music for sure! This is what these remind me of! The 70’s. Great times for my dad and them and a time well of unrest in other places. I think i did it justice, i hope you all like it!

  • The time of which I spoke to you has now arrived, and you may deem it necessary to first borrow the sacred mAccA’gis. Who are you that comes here as a supplicant? Sit down opposite to me, where I can see you and speak to you, and fix your attentions upon me,while you receive life you must permit your thoughts to dwell upon your present condition, inorder to support yourself against falling into despondency. • P/S Retouched by Ange. Digital photos shot/styled by Alex Viscontini, 2008. Model: Roberta. P/S combined two shots (originals below which lacked edge on their own) to create one finished image. Model wasn’t appropriate for the shoot making it difficult for Alex to achieve what he had in mind. I retouched/airbrushed face/body, emphasised eyes, arched eyebrows, closed lips & enlarged them, minimised jawline, lengthened body/legs, re-worked hair/background elements, changed overall body perspective & added a magenta selective colour layer adjustment.

A collaboration between Ademac and Textureofthesin (TOTS) Photographer: The highly esteemed, warmly regarded, and very talented Ademac Model: TOTS Bike: Model’s own An Ironman Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races consisting of a 3.9k swim, 180k bike and 42.2k marathon run. Although thousands of athletes worldwide compete at an Ironman event each year, the vast majority aim simply to just finish the course if they are first timers, or set a PR (personal record) time if they’ve raced this distance before. The Ironman Triathlon is a grueling event that pushes its participants to the limits of endurance. I completed 3 but could not start my 4th due to injury. That bike and I have covered many thousands of kilometres…..... “Just fucking train.” Scott Molina 1991 Ultraman World Champion, 1988 Zofingen Duathlon Champion , 1988 Hawaii Ironman World Champion
