  • I like the pink & black myself, plus I think the negative space at the bottom nicely balances the whole thing, but that’s just me. ;-) / Created with FTP.

  • Dear William; Well honey its been 9 days I have been down here in the submersible, I’m studying the dolphins this month. I wish you were here to see them all interacting, its just amazing. They dont seem to be bothered with my presence anymore. / Ive been studying these beautiful creatures daily and the team wants to test their certain abilities and game behavior. We placed large cubed objects on the floor of the ocean to which they could be tested for long extended periods of time. It didnt take long until they did accept the objects, or even the lights going on when they entered them. Our little friends appeared to love this one in front of me the most and are joyously entertaining themselves daily with little games like, who can could turn through the cube the quickest. The elders are less likely to join in but remain near by. Perhaps their knowledge of such non sea elements are considered a breach of territory or considered a possible threat. / Well I better get back to work….Talk soon! / . / . / . / Journal Entry: June 12th, 2012 / Day 9…. / Quadrant 8 / Subjects: Ling’s Pod / Time: 2:34pm / Grouping: Ling’s pod has remained since dropping the cubes. No other pods have appeared. / Territorial Issues: Ling appears watchful of outside interference, even small fish / Flashing Light Reactions: Adults still unsettled, young adults intriqued / Gaming: The young adults appear most engaged while others try but end quickly, still unsure why / Emotional Stress: None at this time / Time of Cubing Interactions: Mostly between 10am & 4:40pm, seems feeding schedules counter the play activity. ©2007 Lisa C. Weber / . / . / . / This image will be replace with a print version soon. Thank you for your patience. Lisa C. Weber

  • The fantasy behind this is based on The Mabinogi- a famous Welsh legend. Arawn is the King of Annwn, who appears in the first of the four branches of The Mabinogi. This is how I imagine his kingdom- both glorious and apocalyptic. (The photograph was taken in Milan, and altered using PS CS3).

I am still working on the other images in this series. I like challenging myself in new ways, with my self-portraits. And i thought it would be interesting to see if i could make it look like i was interacting with myself . . . in some way. I shot this series against a green screen. The background was taken from a photo-shoot i did at an industrial site in Seattle, Washington. The watchman was kind of enough to let me onto the grounds and gave me a tour and all access pass with my camera. I wanted to convey the extreme sadness i feel with manic depression. Over the years i have discovered that sadness is often anger, spread really thin, masquerading as melancholy. Anger is an emotion i have a very difficult time allowing myself to feel and express, i often repress it. As a child i was not allowed to express my feelings or my anger. There is a detachment that comes with sadness, a disconnect from the self, from the world . . . BUT i am in a good place at the present moment and i am getting better at managing the emotional tidal waves that manic depression brings. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / You might also like . . . / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / View All Art » 1 2 3 4 5 6 browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /
