Wax Pencil on Paper / BEST OF SHOW / 2004 Miniature Art Society of Florida / International Exhibition
I saw a dragon’s head on the left side of the picture, therefore, I called it such. It is actually the foot of a hot flame eating away the wood in a chimney. This picture was taken at F5.6, speed 1/25 Sec. Iso 1600, Focal length 300.0 mm I used an approach lense too.

Hereditary my talent comes from my mother, as hers does from her mother… / —-—-—-—-—-—- I didnt paint this! / My mum did! / So this is an oil painting by my mother, Suzie Painter. / I have to stress, that is is UNFINISHED… My mum painted for most of my childhood, and due to working waaay too hard at her dayjob, and some other reasons, she unfortunately gave up art for years. Recently she has dug out her easel and paints once again but lacks any confidence in her own work. / She is one of my biggest fans, has always had words of encouragement and praise when it comes to my art, but cannot see the talent and skill in her own. / She is her own worst critic. So, in an attempt to prove to her, that she indeed does have talent, I have photographed and posted one of her paintings here. Again, she would like me to emphasise that it is unfinished / It was, in its original years of creation, a gift meant for my father, / but before the painting was finished, He left. / she hasnt had the heart to finish it since, but I am hoping she will rediscover her inspiration soon, as it has been 20 years since then… The Great Australian Bush / Oils on canvas board, very large, about 100cm X 60cm.. (i forgot to measure it) / there are a few marks on it due to its being stored in a cupboard for the past 20 years… So please, make a comment, as I will be showing this to her on her next visit, and I’d love for her to once again believe in herself! Thanx my Lovelies! / Always appreciated! / xoxox
