  • SPIDER CROSS A STREAM
    by handrawn45

Have you ever seen a spider fly / on thin silk cross a stream?

While sitting on the bank of a small stream in the Rocky Mountains, my wife and I noticed thin threads floating across the stream. Upon futher investigation we realized that they were actually small spiders that had let out a strand of silk to catch the breeze and float across the stream. At dinner that night she asked me to write a poem about it, so I did. This is a copywrited work. The poem actually won a contest and was published. The body of the poem wrote quickly but the ending took me nearly two years to decide on.
