This is a photo of my wife’s silouette taken during our last vacation (road trip) in the US which in this case is in Death Valley. We had just arrived at the first view point to enjoy a pretty spectaculor view and my wife sat down on the beach and well, there you have it. /

usually, I do not make it this far around Cades Cove until after the fog has lifted, but this one morning I did not see any bears so I got lucky. (or unlucky since I got no bears) this is a shot of one of the barns at the Tipton Place. / shot in Cades Cove (Smoky Mountains)

A storm had just passed over Watkins Glen and the warm sun was breaking through the misty air in the glen. Watkins Glen State Park is located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, at the southern end of Seneca Lake. This image was captured with a Canon EOS DSLR / Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens. The focal length was 21mm, ISO was set at 400 with an f/8 aperture and shutter speed of 1/30 sec. About OK, well for this shot I had to get into the water! I’ve never done that before, not ;) Enjoy. - ISO 100, f5.6, 1/200, 15mm. / - Sigma 10-20mm Lens. / - $30 Tripod. Processing - HDR, 3 exposures [2,0,+2EV] shot in RAW/ISO100 at f9, using Sigma 10-20mm lens. / - Soft light layer in Photoshop 6.0. / - Borders added using Lightroom 2.2 / - Unsharp mask in Photoshop 6.0 (50%) HDR - Tone mapped using Photomatix HDR, in detail mode.
