I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Hello ! Everybody I was surprised by the great responding of that picture ,that’s why i came back for more explanations.It’s true that i live in a place where nature is the queen .I’m surrounding by lakes ,trees and mountains,my friend Michel is always talking about moving but i want to die here.I’ve been creating a garden for four years now,getting pretty.No neighbors in front ,in the back only on both sides and i never see them .The only bug ,no sunsets and sunrises,i have to take the car ….big thing …. / there a preserve aria belonging to the «Université de Montreal» that means no constructions for many,many yearsThe place i took that pic.is two minutes from my house.The many comments i had made me realise how lucky i am to live in a place like that .THANKS TO ALL OF YOU. As the sunrise burned trough the fog early Sunday morning, on Clear Lake near Hunstville, Ontario, two fishermen enthusiastically set out for their favourite fishing place… / This shot was as a result of an early morning walk in / August 2008 in the fog: part planning, part serendipity. Saturday morning, the weather very nice with sunshine and no winds at all. At this time of year this is very rare, and usually opens possibilities for mist. / I arrived at the forest, there was not another soul in sight. How I wonder why people are in such a hurry to go shopping or whatever, when they could have enjoyed a stroll here! What do you call the light that permanently imprints itself into the deepest corner of your cerebral real estate? Just a memorable one, divine, sublime? The star was going down fast, as it was just a matter of ‘to get it over and done with‘ a daily sunset routine – until that moment. Like it was switched on by some all powerful hand residing somewhere in the center of a kingdom of light, the sunbeam reached across the valley, bringing all the associated attributes with it, like joy and warmth, just for a few moments, before disappearing altogether. The blue cold haze drowned the beautiful Hawkes Bay valley, but not before the last ray of sun got there first. I was standing in awe … for a while in fact, still in disbelief. Review button and LCD screen confirmed it did happen. Sweet. I’ll treasure selfishly the melody of breeze passing through the treetops, the smell of golden grass and feel of fallen leafs under my feet. Not to worry, I left something to share with you. Here it is.

Much is revealed by the light. In this case, a smaller gum tree is almost spotlit by the rays of light streaming through a tasmanian forest!
