  • HDR image of a Steinway Piano at a friends’ home. She’s quite an accomplished artist herself, she painted the images behind the piano in Tuscany Italy. I’m looking for a good title for this image, this piano hasn’t been played in years. If you can think of a title that jumps out at you, I’d appreciate you posting it for me. Thanks. • Well this is my favorite photograph taken at the holy beach of somnath,Gujrat in India. Very early morning I was taking the photograph of sea & fortunately I caught a gentleman praying to sea & sun. That person really added life to this photograph.

  • I took this photo the day after the severe winds and rain in Nov 2007 while hiking back from Beauchamp Falls in the Otway Ranges. I heard water running off the track and went looking. It showed that beauty can still come after destruction.

  • Sherbrooke, Dandenong Ranges.

  • Drove up here after a long day of taking photos hoping to catch a good sunset, ended up being pretty good. A composite of 15 images if you include the 3 shots taken to make each HDR photo. Stitched together using photoshop and did a bit of touching up in Lightroom. Sales 1 Matted Print 1 Poster On Saturday the 7th of February my family lost our home away from home at Marysville, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our Abyssinian cat. My condolences go to anyone who also lost family, friends or property on this terrible weekend, and I know deep down that Marysville will be back and better than ever, in the near future… Click here for my other images of the Yarra Ranges

  • This was painted from a sketch and photograph back home after returning while travelling on a healing journey from Qld to Alice Springs in 2002 Instead of going on a ‘proper;’holiday after a traumatic few years I decided I just had to see the Centre of our beautiful country …so …we just jumped into the car, 4×4 and slept in the back ,cooking with one frypan over a small gas fire rested on the tailboard ,most times I slept on the ground next to the car bcause i didn’t like being confined. Luckily no mozzies appeared. A Gum Tree for Shallay

  • :) This one is for all the suckers out there! Lollipops, so simple and yet so complicated. Their emotions can change in an instant. Some of them can even grow teeth for no apparent reason. Wonderful creatures. Suck, suck. Lick, lick. Yummy. jL /

  • I think this image is something of an optical illusion. to me, it appears to bulge out, even though it’s concave. you decide.

  • Once full rock pools are slowly drying up in the intense heat of summer. Before they do dry up these pools are teaming with both animal and plant life. Some of the more note worthy are fish up to 20cm long many species of frogs and blooming algae. • Captured this image aboard the Cruiseship “Valor”, during a 7 day Western Caribbean Cruise. Some of the ships’ interior was quite interesting and warranted a few photo sessions. This is a 15 second exposure of some empty barstools, shot from the floor with camera angled upwards. Image made with tripod mounted Nikon D300 and Nikkor 18-70mm lens. The image itself has been run through ReDynaMix for an HDR “feel”, then converted to B&W, then with several layers gradually punched through the layers to achieve the selective coloring on the barstools from the original color HDR image. / Please view in Large to see all of the detail ….

  • I love rainy, overcast, windy days. Someone has to, I suppose. The pink/purple of the fireweed has yet to reach its full splendor. As Alaskan legend has it, when fireweed blooms all the way to the top of its spire – the six-week countdown to winter begins. Some of us can hardly wait. It felt great to get out in the elements! • Sandhill cranes prepare to fly to warmer climes. Clouds enshroud the Kenai mountains behind them as they fly over Cook Inlet. I had this printed quite large and feel delighted with the clarity of the cranes! Dedicated to Australia’s Barbara Burkhardt, with whom I had tea and a moment of joy. Wonderful subtle sense of humor (humour).. I feel fortunate to have met this adventuous, talented woman and her handsome husband as they toured Alaska. I assume all Australians are as fun. • BEST VIEWED LARGER Thanks for dropping in your comments viewings and if lucky favoritings are greatly appreciated. Is’nt it great when you wake up open the door and get that hint of pink in the sky, throw in the right type of cloud and you get that burst of “Photographer Adrenalin” ? This is the result ! I saw these reflections and ran for the camera. Sydney Harbour like a mill pond before the many vessels start their morning trips and disturbing it’s surface. The other factor is that look to the water surface that landscape photographers might know it’s like a oily look to the water that lends itself to wonderful reflective surface. It took many shots of Sydney Harbour this morning, if, and you should have seen the sunrise that followed . WAIT ! yes i have photos of that as well.
