It has been raining here for a week now and I was bored.. / Many many thanks to Eb for the candle (she told me to say that) and thankyou to my lovely Mum for the loan of her books xxx and of course to The Carpenters for the title… :~) Rainy Days and Mondays by The Carpenters
Judith suggested Rainy street could be in B&W. She has great B&W work and has been an inspiration to me. So I tried with PS to convert the photo into B&W. But I’m new to PS and don’t know if I did it right. Please let me know what you think about the tones, contrast, textures… will a more grainy feel help? Thank you.

This is the second time I have written this…think my first file was too big…anyway…this is a picture of my beautiful daughter Lauren. Lauren has had a hard life having been disabled in a car accident as a child but despite this she has achieved much including being a fashion model. Her face appeared in mags during the 90’s and culminated with her being the face of the Australian Couture Collection in the late 90’s. This particular photo was taken on a cold wintry day…the raindrops added to the mood of the photo…Lauren is today a writer, hoping to get a book of poetry published. comments welcome…Cheers, Geri

Taken on Mabul Island, Borneo. A magic place! We stayed in ‘huts’ (luxurious) on the reef – you could look over your balcony and see the reef below in all its beauty. It rained on our last morning there – but who cares! Beautiful even in the rain. View more of my landscapes by going to: / Landscape
I love sun rays and yesterday the clouds arrived so I decided to burn my retina and shoot towards the sun. Nikon D40 18-55mm with circular polarising filter. Artistic filter add in PSP as there was slight pixalation which I wanted to get rid of!
