Spring Time Rain As the spring time rain beats down, hard upon the soil / New seedlings soak and start to move, starting their springtime toil Soaking in and softening soil, preparing for the bud, / to raise its head up high, to feel the noontime sun. Ever stretching, so tall and green, shooting up and wide / If you look real close, you’d swear they could touch the sky Very soon the bud is gone, a flower in its place, / Saying to all who see it there, we make this a better place. So leave it there to grow and shine / Or cut and grace your space But always remember the great spring song, / flowers within their place. Doris Kiser / September 23, 2007 This is a poem I wrote as the flower in the print inspired me. I hope someone likes it. / huggs / Dorrie
