Out walking on a beautiful wet summer sydney evening.
Tried something a little different for this one. I positioned the headlights from my truck to shine on the road hoping to get some extra light on the land. / This was a 45s exposure.
This was captured after a rain storm, while we were on holidays at Lorne. The sky lit up as though it was on fire, with the clouds reflecting the late afternoon sun and the resulting water lying on the pier also mirrored the sky and the couta boat, docked there.

The gateway to Melbourne from the south on a wet day.
Early this morning I decided to drive about an hour into the Blue Mountains to go for a bit of bushwalking and to check out the lookouts around the Wentworth Falls area. / However the weather was terrible, with it basically being a whiteout with visibility down to about 20m and constant drizzling rain, so not the best weather for lookouts and photography! / I decided to head over to King’s Tableland and have a look at McMahon’s Lookout which is down the end of a 20km dirt track, however half way down the road I decided to capture the view in front of me which consisted of the road and trees disappearing into the thick mist. / I will have to head back up on a clearer day! / Photo taken with barely any post processing, just exposure, black point and levels.. / Thanks for having a look, as always comments and critiquing are most welcome.. Reversed 50mm macro shot of a blade of grass with dew drops on it. I tried to utilize the narrow DOF by maintaining focus on only a single droplet to emphasize its presence. Thanks for taking a look. Best Viewed LARGE

I was out shooting with a student the other day and sadly a load of our pictures got corrupted by a bad data link between my CF card-reader and the PC. This one survived, with a few others. Amazing weather that afternoon; thunder, lightning, torrential rain. Great drama.
