PERFORMANCE : NOMADIC NYMPHS: One of the three post civilization ethereal beings-Nomadic Nymphs- are wandering the desert, in search of their lost love and life source…. Water. The only relic they have of their past abundant liquid life is a magical glass vessel, containing their precious elixir of life… This water sustains them, entrances them. They live for this last drop of hope. And so, they wander and roam always searching and stopping often to statue, to float and to worship their treasured nectar and be replenished. All shall witness their deep love and devotion to this rare and magical liquid treasure, and hopefully help them on their quest to be reunited with their life’s destiny. see more images from this festival at OZDOOF’s gallery here in Redbubble

Oil on canvas 40” X 40”. Completed 1995. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “I saw the angel in the marble and I carved until I set him free” / – Michelangelo The Dream was the first painting that I had completed from a vision. Painting The Dream was a very interesting process for me. I was concerned how others would react to a non-Aboriginal person using a style normally synonymous with Aboriginal art, i.e. dot painting. For this reason, when it was completed, I was hesitant to show it to anyone for some years. In November 1999 I succumbed and included The Dream, along with The Awakening, in a Sacred Art exhibition that featured six local artists. The exhibition began with a special welcoming ceremony performed by the Aboriginal Elders of the region. Afterwards, the Aboriginal Elders approached me and asked questions about my visions and paintings. They said they liked my work. I was so happy and relieved to hear that. Local dignitaries, including the Governor of South Australia, Sir Erik Neal, attended the public opening. To my surprise Sir Erik Neal invited me to display The Dream at Government House (his official residence) for six months to which I agreed. After the exhibition, The Dream featured in the main boardroom of Government House to be viewed by visitors from all over the world. The story of The Dream is about the creation of our universe. The snake (Rainbow Serpent) represents the Creator. The centre shows the creation of our universe, with the hands representing the creation of spirits in all dimensions and the eggs, the creation of life. The greens and browns represent land and all things that live on the land. The shades of blue and purple represent water and all creatures that live in water. The branches and red berries represent nourishment and sustenance. / At this stage in the story, Creation is not complete; hence the black (unfilled) background at two corners. The Rainbow Serpent has entered a sleep state and has begun dreaming our future. The Dream is the first of a series showing the transition of the universe from Creation to enlightenment. The next of the series is The Awakening.
Each gift of time let’s me see that freedom is within My Dreamtime. There is alot of information in this painting, pertaining to regurgitation and transformation, which is symbolic of transition from one state to another and is often built into rituals to aid transportation of the initiate to a higher Spiritual level. Acrylics, inks, pigment and enamel.
Oil on canvas 24” X 18”. Completed July 2008. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour” / – William Blake This painting represents our internal vision and the ability to fully see the wonders of creation. Vision was inspired by my favourite poem of all time, written by William Blake (see above). In peace and joy, / Maya
The Devils Marbles are a collection of gigantic rounded granite boulders, many of which are precariously balanced on top of one another. Scattered heaps of these ‘marbles’ occur across a wide, shallow valley.
