Morning rainbow, Jokulsarlon, Iceland Iceland / Belgium / Italy / France / Hungary / Spain / Sri Lanka / USA / London / Portraits / Other Jokulsarlon is a glacial lake that meets the sea in Iceland. One of the most beautiful places i have been on our little planet Earth. The tragedy is that this beautiful photo would not be possible without global warming. When in a cafe at a petrol station i saw a postcard of Jokulsarlon. One single large iceberg floating in the centre. As you can see now the lake is full. Note: The size if this work was increased using Photoshop CS2. / Best size being around the 50cm wide.

This is a photo of the sea barrier at the wharf in St. Phillips, Newfoundland. The salt water from the ocean has rusted the bolts and caused this array of rainbow colors to stain the wood. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /

Genesis 9:12-14 (New King James Version) 12. And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13. I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; / God’s Promise to Noah, after The Great Flood !! This truly was one of those “Magic of the Moment” times from God, a Divine Appointment, being in the right place at the right time, with no added special effects, all natural light !!!! Captured at Thompsons Creek on an historic private property named Charlemont near Geelong, Australia. Pentax istDS Camera The Covenant / Author: martin steinbrugger Having once beheld His glory shinning down from above… / My drought stricken life is now as a reservoir, / Constantly being renewed with God’s love. There’s only a remnant here and there of my barren past… / For behold God’s promise to heal and renew, / Is most certainly coming too pass. Water of life overflowing my soul… / Bringing forth the blessing and joy of knowing, / It is not I, but God who is in control. Covenant blessing under His bow shall I kneel… / For it is by His stripes and His stripes alone, / That my wounded soul has been healed. Taken at the Waterrun, Royal National Park just south of Sydney. The rainbow is from some wave spray and that’s a little waterfall off to the left. / This shot was taken at dusk about an hour before Poetry of Chaos. It was amazing watching the storm come in and the colours changing and the sea swell growing. One of the great privileges of living in this park is watching the same landscapes in a myriad of different moods depending on the weather and time of day. Canon 30D / Tv: 1/6sec / Av: f/25 / ISO: 100 / FL: 18mm Poetry of Chaos:
Taken at the Waterrun, Royal National Park, just south of Sydney at the same location as Poetry of Chaos and Falling Water Falling Light, but one month later. Really curious that at the same location in the park there were two rainbows in very similar positions but one month apart. I find strange coincidences like this happen a lot in the park – for example shooting storms off the cliffs over a couple of years I’ve found the lightning strikes are almost always in the same place for each storm. Heart Built on Tears These are individually placed waterdrops on a CD. The colors come from how the light is refracted on the surface. It’s really easy to arrange shapes since you can just drag the drop with any sharp object and it will stay perfectly spherical and not loose any water :) So this is a bit feminine, but boo double standards :) / These are the descriptions I give on dA —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Location: Portland, OR / Date: August 30th, 2008 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D) / Lens: Canon Macro Lens EF-s 60mm f/2.8 / Focal Length: 60 mm / Flash: Built-In Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec / Aperture: 2.8 / ISO: 400 / — MY PHOTOGRAPHS ARE COPYRIGHTED AND NOT FOR USE OF STOCK, CANNOT BE REDISTRIBUTE, EDITED, AND/OR COPIED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. NOTE: Rainbow Waterfalls was nominated to the Pay It Forward group by Kathy S Gillentine and here is what she had to say: ”I want to nominate bigd / He has a great eye for photography. He has allowed to ask me how to do things if he’s not sure ,then he helps me find the way. Big D has been a true inspiration to me ,not only by his work but by his kindness to help me when I need help. His images are beautiful and well thought out. Take the time to look through his extensive portfolio and be inspired by his work.” Kathy S Gillentine It’s a huge surprise and thanks Kathy. Emerald Paradise As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Rainbow Springs Florida’s third largest spring, Rainbow Springs pump 600 million gallons of water daily and serves as the head water to the pristine Rainbow River. The property was acquired by the State Park Service in 1990 and is slowly being allowed to revert to its natural state. / Beautiful floral gardens surround the spring, and the area is immensely popular in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom. The state also acquired Rainbow Springs State Campground, located nearby, which was formerly privately owned. From the campground, you can tube or canoe the crystalline waters of Rainbow River, or fish for large mouth bass and other freshwater species. / A nature trail provides a lovely walk past two waterfalls and the azalea gardens, and meanders along the Rainbow River. / /

/ Medium Size Print/Cherry Frame/Off White Matt Watercolour crayons, watercolour pencils, faber castell pencils, ink, acrylic, wax, gesso acrylic, chalk pastel, pen, charcoal on paper This began as a drawing while on holiday at an island resort, it’s one of those paintings that seemed to have a mind of it’s own, and wanted to be painted a certain way…even though I had different ideas, this is the end result. LOL I was originally going to colour her very gently with wax and soft pastels…but she became more and more vibrant as I went along. Perhaps the colouring says something of how vibrant we become when we are well rested, balanced and relaxed.
