Our little red eyed tree frog, Trickster. EDIT: Thank you all – this is not my favorite one but wanted to see how the idea would be received. So, I appreciate all your wonderful comments! This is our pet frog, Trickster. I bought cloud paper at the scrapbook store and purchased an umbrella ornament on eBay. I then hung it from our banana stand (LOL-I know, I know :-) Then I put the frog on it and snapped the shutter. Because the umbrella was hanging truly vertical he didn’t like it and it didn’t look right so in photoshop I rotated the canvas 35 degrees and cloned out the string that would hang the umbrella on the tree. That is about it. Unfortunately, I had to shoot at a higher ISO so I got some noise. Going to re-do this tomorrow with more light – it was pretty cold here and these guys like warm weather so I couldn’t play too much today.

This is currently not for sale as a laminated print because the border won’t print well with the text on the laminated prints, since RB adds their own border. If you would like to purchase a laminated print, please let me know and I will post a version without the text. :) Mother Nature has the most amazing palette with which to create, doesn’t she? The flowers are, from left to right: turk’s cap, Mexican sunflower, golden allamanda, elephant’s ear, agapanthus, and passionflower. All photos were taken in gardens in and around Gainesville, Florida. 100% of the profits from the sale of my work will be donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

I have been wanting to do a follow-up to Colors of Nature, but I wasn’t sure how I wanted to present it. Since I have already done flora, I wanted to do something with fauna, and something unique… Then it struck me how amazingly colorful snakes can be, and how that is something most wouldn’t think to notice. So, I present to you these beautiful snakes, all of whom are wild and were captured, photographed, and released in and around north and central Florida. The colors here are completely natural; I’ve not altered them at all. The snakes are: corn snake (aka red rat snake, Elaphe guttata guttata), yellow rat snake (Elaphe obsoleta quadrivittata), rough green snake (Opheodrys aestivus aestivus), and bluestripe garter snake (same one as in Feeling Blue Thamnophis sirtalis similus). I only wish I had photos of orange and purple snakes to complete the spectrum. :P / . / This is currently not for sale as a laminated print because the border won’t print well with the text on the laminated prints, since RB adds their own border. If you would like to purchase a laminated print, please let me know and I will post a version without the text. :) / . / 100% of the profits from the sale of my work featuring reptiles will be donated to Wildlife Warriors Worldwide in honor of Steve Irwin who educated the world about these amazing creatures.

On the 12th day of May 2008 I witnessed (along with thousands of others) a perfect circle in the form of a rainbow around the sun at about noon-time at a beautiful place in the Philippines. Completely perplexed, stunned and amazed at this extraordinary and divine sight, I HAD to create this artwork. Im not sure where you were or what you were doing at this same moment of time but I guess this is all we have. Small pigments of time all squeezed together. And if we’re blessed enough, we get moments like these and realise even for a second the gravity of God’s love. There were no photo’s taken at the time and all I had available to me was the memory of this moment… The moment my heart burned. Print available. / Vector digital art created in illustrator.

been reading about tribal child raising and the benefits, and we know I like birds… I began this art as abstract patterns, bubbles of pattern that transformed when I realised by putting a ‘fork in the road’ to the concentric circles, that I created an eye and beak. Before that, it could’ve been shown either way up. also, it transformed from earthy brown colours, to a colourful bird. ‘Is it art? ‘my teacher used to always question. He’s not here now. He’s just asking the question still! in my head! I like it-it’s bright, colouful and alive.
