  • Taken in winter on a very wet day the photo was shot from St Marks Square looking over the grand canal to San Giorgio Maggiore Island

  • This is the second time I have written this…think my first file was too big…anyway…this is a picture of my beautiful daughter Lauren. Lauren has had a hard life having been disabled in a car accident as a child but despite this she has achieved much including being a fashion model. Her face appeared in mags during the 90’s and culminated with her being the face of the Australian Couture Collection in the late 90’s. This particular photo was taken on a cold wintry day…the raindrops added to the mood of the photo…Lauren is today a writer, hoping to get a book of poetry published. comments welcome…Cheers, Geri

  • We had a rare thunderstorm in Lebanon yesterday night and I took some shots. This one is take from “Ain Saade”, a village about 600meters above sea level from my balcony. the city that you can see is Beirut, Lebanon’s capital. My camera was secured on a tripod and each exposure was about 25 to 30seconds with white balance set to tungsten to compensate for light pollution of the city. This one is a combination of 3 shots each having 1 to 3 bolts in different places and merged in Photoshop using the “lighten” blending mode. After that mainly S-curves to increase contrast. If interested you can check this tutorial for tips about thunder photography .
