  • A storm passes over and a rainbow forms over the boat sheds on Queenscliff pier with the ferry in the background.

  • A rainbow over a South London house. This was taken this summer during yet another rainy day… at least the sun made a brief enough appearance to get this shot!

  • Took this after a massive downpour. Unfortunately I was at my house and not “on location” Hence the crappy foreground

  • a rainbow bends gracefully over Austrian vineyards in late summer

  • Note the extra bands beneath the rainbow. This is a less common occurrence in Rainbows with a long drawn out scientific explanation. This is the only rainbow I have captured with this phenomena.

  • A pair of rainbow lorikeets taken in the artist’s garden on a wet and windy afternoon.

  • Rainbow photographed just outside Moffat Scotland This is part of my 2009 Calender Photographic Anthology…........

  • I had two images from slide I captured not long ago. This is the one Kathy said to upload. I was just out of the shower. It had just stopped raining outside. I looked out the window from my upstairs window and saw a double rainbow. I called down to Kathy and our visiting Daughter that there was a double and to look outside.. And grab the camera.. Ha.. They did not .. I ran in my birthday suit to the camera bag and got what I could out the upper window. Not the double but it was so pretty.. I will say I was lucky to get this. No review with slides.. By the way one end of the rainbow was hitting the ground less than two hundred yards from me. I could see it on my side of a line of near tree’s… That was a thrill.. Hope you enjoy..

  • Even during the storm, the Lord’s promise is that He will be will be with us. Psalm 107 / 28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, / and he brought them out of their distress. / 29 He stilled the storm to a whisper; / the waves of the sea were hushed. / 30 They were glad when it grew calm, / and he guided them to their desired haven. / 31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love / and his wonderful deeds for men. This picture is based on a photo taken as a storm passed over Cocoa Beach, FL.

  • A cute little Saturday morning illustration.

  • Raasay and the Inner Sound from An Cruinn-leum on the Applecross peninsula, Scotland, as a storm approaches the mainland over an ever more angry sea from Skye and Raasay. The beach had not a soul on it, and few footprints – had it been warmer, I would have gone down to the waterside and taken a second shot of this…....I’m glad I didnt, as it stayed for hours when it arrived. • mixed media on masonite box I began this artwork after I experienced my first earthquake in Maui…not knowing where I was going with it…as usual. i had made a connection with Pele when i first arrived in the Hawaiian Islands. Before I had even landed and knew anything about the legend, I was drawing her in my journal. The legend always portrayed her as dark yet I never felt her that way. As she entered the art work I felt her seduction. It was a playful one. And so she BECAME creator/destroyer….....rising to heights well deserved….since within the destruction of her wake was left a newborn island. She gave us the rock of paradise. ...rainbows, sunshine, jungle flora, mountains, turquoise waters…......ALL of the juice of LIFE. Gotta LOVE her for that!!! / /

  • A road somewhere in Somerset (possibly Dorset). I was travelling from one to the other at the time and stopped the car (again) to take the shot. / We have much bad weather here in the UK. It’s often cloudy and overcast. It rains a lot. We have fog and mist. When the sun cracks through we don shorts and t-shirts, regardless of temperature, and head for any open space where we might just possibly get a bit of a tan. / The UK is a place where one area can be smitten with torrential rain and floods while twenty miles away the sun is splitting rocks and there’s a hosepipe ban. / Having said all that, the unpredictable weather has its upsides for photo-nuts like me.

  • All artist commission from the sale of this piece will be donated to the Victorian Bushfires Appeal This design is adapted from Ancient Cave Art and has been used for hundreds of years for ‘good luck’. The Native Americans see this symbol as a message from the stars representing God’s Grace. My heart goes out to all the people in Australia at this time of the devastating bush fires which are destroying homes and taking lives there. May God’s Grace Bless you all with the much needed rain to end the fires and heal your land. If you would like to know more about how to help the people in Australia who are dealing with the worst bush fires in their history, please visit Phoenix-Appeal Read the journal entries…donate some art, buy some art….every little bit helps. And, as an added plus, RedBubble is generously matching donations, dollar for dollar. Planet Earth is home to us all….let us help our brothers & sisters in their time of need. Many Blessings upon us all…

  • This is one of a series of shots taken in very strong winds on the ridge between Weardale and Teesdale and for once, the rain and wind charging across the dales created this faint rainbow. For once shown in colour, just to give an idea of the mood of this place in the wind and rain, while the sun tried to break through. Now in this wilderness, try imagining working with a pick and shovel, channeling damned water to rip open ore rich rock, then hand loading carts and the trek down to small villages hanging into the side of the valley or by smelting factories, pumping out toxic fumes and water and then getting out of a damp cold cottage sharing one room with many people to do the walk again.. This is the heart of lead and silver mining in the dales since roman times.

  • Light rain falls on lush green farmlands around the rural township of Forrest in the Otways.

  • This rainbow appeared atfer a brief rain shower. I was so happy to see it. I have always said that the sight of a rainbow, is the loved ones I have lost saying hello.
