Phranang Bay ~ Railay Peninsula ~ Krabi ~ Thailand.
A perfect sunset over Thailand’s Railay Beach. This serene moment was momentarily interrupted by the loud thumping gurgle of an approaching Long Tail’s rickety diesel motor (a sound that I actually grew to love). The approaching Long Tail boat provided me with a lovely photographic opportunity as it putted towards the beach. What a perfect day. A perfect gift – Framed Print of Sunset Over Railay Beach: [Creative Effects: NONE]
Princess Cave, where the local fisherman leave huge wooden phalluses (cocks) for the goddess so they can catch more fish. Location : Railay beach, Krabi – Thailand.
Railay beach, Krabi – Thailand. Wonderful cliff. The limestone cliffs and mountains around Railay Beach & Koh Phi Phi are the places to hang by your finger tips over 100 feet in the air.
A beautiful night on an incredible beach. The imposing presence of the limestone cliffs and the star-filled sky made for a memorable image. Railay Beach, Thailand. [Creative Effects: Spotlight effect with Photoshop]

My Long Tail boat..on another island around the fabulous South of Thailand :)) Image description speaks for itself.. One day…I ‘ll go back … Thankyou to Catherine Veal for describing this image as wonderfully as this :- Shangri-La is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton. In the book, “Shangri-La” is a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise but particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia—a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. In the novel Lost Horizon, the people who live at Shangri-La are almost immortal, living years beyond the normal lifespan. The word also evokes the imagery of exoticism of the Orient.*
Sunset from Railay beach – Ao Nang – Krabi Province – Thailand
Sunset and longtail boats at Railay Beach, Ao Nang, Thailand. December 2008.
Afgter a hard day on the beach this is what you are left with. Taken back in 2001 on an old camera.
Taken at Railay Beach in Thailand in November 2008. I’m not sure I followed the story exactly, but apparently in this cave lives a goddess that mariners like to keep happy lest she send angry seas their way. So they bring her penises. Lots and lots of penises.
