One of my more successful (I think, but what do I know) oil paintings. The British rail locomotive, ‘Iron Duke’ of the Britannia class prepares to haul the Golden Arrow. This is a straightforward scan of the painting with no manipulation and was painted three or four years back when I was feeling very inspired by the works of Terence Cuneo.

January first, 2009 dawned with a steady but gentle rainstorm in Belize, Central America. The sound of the rain drops breaking against palm fronds, roofs and railings was soothing to hear and fascinating to watch. Simple and at the same time complex, the bursting splashes broke way too quickly for the eye to freeze – not so for my 60mm AF Micro Nikkor. Nikon D-3 with AF Micro Nikkor 60mm set at f-2.8

Crystal Caves, Bermuda Underground fresh water caves in Bermuda. The temperture above ground was well above 30 Celsius, while the temperature in caves was probably only 15. The water was verrry cold to swim in. “You can go to heaven if you want. I’d rather stay in Bermuda.” – Mark Twain Colours were unchanged as well.
