This is my first “request” – thanks Cathleen. I used to love this station, but the powers-that-be decided Blyth didn’t need the railways any more. Since then, a fantastic Metro train network has been created in Northumberland and Tyne & Wear and guess which town is left out because we no longer have rail tracks. I did an earlier version of this picture, on which this is based. Here it is:

This is a Very modern, new, contempary part of the Leeds City Centre, but seeing this flaky wall, you wouldnt think so. / It is a little stair-well connecting the back of the train station, ‘Princes Exchange’ with the new River Aire Water front, running parrallel with Whitehall road. / /

Image was taken in Washington DC, at one of the many Metro stations. I love the contrast between items in motion and the stationary objects. Processed with Redynamix to give it a slight HDR feel. Taken with Nikon D50 and Nikkor 18-70mm lens.

The tiny railroad station at Prince is easy to reach from southern West Virginia’s tourism hub: Beckley. This Amtrak station along the old C&O Railroad tracks still provides passenger train service to the area, a few times a week. / While there are still a few people living in Prince, chances are you’ll feel all alone here. Park at the train station and explore the tracks, but keep in mind a train could come by at any time as you can see pictured here. The Prince train station provides a few great photo opportunities. More smoke was added in the front of this image. Sepia treatment.
