Taken at One of New York’s Photography Shootouts. This image is of Lauren after 3 hours of body painting. The wanted to build on the bodypainting to take it to an abstract level and so chose an old fridge to do the shoot. The heat was incredible. It was July in Brooklyn in an old factory. Murphy was the only one of my cats who loved this toy, I do not know if it was because he was just a kitten or if it was because he was a boy. Little Savannah is a beautiful Ragdoll who will win your heart. When you come to my door, she is right there to welcome you and make you feel at home. She has the quietest of meows and just knows that she is the Princess. This photo was taken the very first day I saw little Savannah. She stole my heart in an instant, and you can see why. She was beautiful as a little kitten and has only grown more lovely over these two years. She is such a love bug and a total delight. This photo was taken at Kristie’s house where she breeds these beautiful Ragdolls. I had seen a photo of her mother (Elizabeth) on the internet and must have had a photo of her on my bulletin board for about a year before I was ready to adopt. I was smitten with Savannah from the very beginning, but Kristie said she wanted to keep her because she would make such beautiful kittens. As it turned out, she had a tiny little kink in her tail and that disqualified her. Made me the happiest person on the planet when I heard that news. She came home with me that very glorious day the end of May. Bella is a Siamese cat and she is best friends with Murphy who is a Ragdoll kitten. They have been the best of friends from the very first day they were introduced to one another. They play, eat and sleep together, bringing much joy to our home. This photo was taken with natural light that was to the left. The natural light is the very best to pick up the blue eyes. Bella is an intelligent and loving little girl. When I found her at our local animal rescue, she was less than a year old and had one very weak little baby. She had been found living out in the woods , was very underweight and in very sad shape. The minute I saw her, she looked straight in my eyes, so I asked the attendant if I could hold her. She simply relaxed in my arms, started purring. and our two hearts sang together that blissful morning. An hour later, we were on our way home. She has proven to be the most wonderful house cat who will be my alarm clock if I am not up by 6AM. She will start nibbling on my arm and nuzzling me to get up and face the day. Also, she will scold the other cats if they are found scratching the furniture and is always so polite when she is fed. She will not start eating until I put the food in front of her and stroke her back. All of this is amazing to me since she was living as if she were ferrel, but she has the manners of a true little lady. Murphy I met as a tiny little kitten who was the only one who survived out of the litter. For whatever reason, his mother would have nothing to do with him and my friend Kristy was force feeding him every two hours. He would not have lived without her insistance that he eat. But still, he was not thriving. The day that I met him, it was like my heart was touched with how tiny and helpless he was. I sat right down on the floor and picked him up and settled him on my chest, over my heart and talked to him for the next two hours, petted his little head and and back also fed him with an eye dropper. The next day, I came back to see him again and he was a little stronger. Kristy said that he was finally beginning thrive. I came back often and several weeks later, Kristy was leaving on a trip and asked if I would take care of little Murphy while she was gone. He was still such a tiny little thing, only two months old now. I brought him home and immediately, he was taken in by all of the other cats. The perfect addition to our home right from the very first. He has turned out to be the most active and rambuncious of all of the cats, but comes to lie next to me at night. I believe he thinks I am his Mum. Murphy seems to be interested in these Dutch wooden shoes. Perhaps it was because he knew how well the blue matched his eyes. The Ragdoll is an American cat breed with a medium-length, silky, rabbit-like coat. It is best known for its docile and placid temperament and affectionate nature. Ragdolls have a sturdy body with a large frame, proportionate legs, and a soft coat with Siamese-style points. Adult cats can be 15-20 lbs without being considered obese, and a fatty pad under the abdomen is typical. They are typically have a very gentle and relaxed temperament. When socialized from birth they are attentive and affectionate members of the family that enjoy and seek out human companionship. Ragdoll cats remain playful throughout their lives, adjust well to children and pets and are sometimes called “puppy-cats” because of their propensity to follow their owners from room to room and meet them at the door. Ragdoll cats are demurely vocal, careful with their claws and teeth when in play, plus forgiving of accidental mistreatment. Because of their non-defensive nature, a Ragdoll should never be allowed outdoors unattended. This is Bindi, my little mutt ragdoll angora ferret. She was just 9 months old when I took this photo. Bindi will be 2-years old in September. It was pure luck that I got this shot. She is probably the hardest of my ferrets to photograph as she is so tiny and fast. I will never get this shot again, it was a once in a blue moon shot. She barely weighs a pound, she came from Carolina Ferrets out of North Carolina. She is so sweet. Best viewed larger

This image comes from when I first brought home little Murphy. He has changed so much, but even from the beginning, he has had such a winning personality. He danced for quite a while as I held this little toy just beyond his reach. I just love the intense concentration in his eyes.
