McQueen used to do a lot of racing at the nearby Laguna Seca racetrack. Someone got a shot of him just pulling off the goggles, mud and grease on his face, in his leathers, and wearing that / You Want a Piece of This? / look / he did so well and made him so interesting to watch as an actor. i was asked to take pictures at the delaware speedway by my friend Cody [and i know you’re reading this because you had mentioned you stalk my redbubble basically everyday] and i had a really good time! / there were lots of really nice people and i got a bunch of great pictures in! / and i even got to ride in a racecar for a couple laps!!! it was awesome! / this is the porsche that was sitting on the track just WAITING for its picture to be taken. / i had a great day..and thanks so much cody for inviting me.. it was a great experience!

A re-work of a previous photo of mine. Taken at the Wangaratta Speedway in 2006. I was allowed onto the in-field, I was there with a friend of mine who was racing a similar car. / I noticed this car was faster than most and it also had a wheel off the ground as it entered turn 3. I kept an eye on it for two or three laps, then I snapped this shot. / I froze the car just at the right moment! / I have to say, there was little or no skill with this shot, I had the camera on auto and just popped the shot off as it went passed. / I fluked it :-) Canon 20D / ISO 400 / f5.6 / 1/30th / 15 – 85mm lens @ 85mm

This was more of a theme for poster collectors for the indy 500 in Indianapolis, someone asked me if I design posters related to NASCAR, and said hardly unless I’m motivated.. well I came up with this, looks ok to me man the hours I spent on this sheeeeesh.
