This cow elk jumped our fence this afternoon to munch on some new green grass in our yard…..I watched for a long time….she looked so relaxed and content out there….. then…she found the birdbath!!! :) She drank it almost dry….so fun to watch her quenching her thirst…... :) Estes Park, Colorado

I am a minuscule pebble on your beach of life… / Emotionally prepared for stormy seas, sweep me up and transport me deep into the abyss…..ignore that impartial breeze. / As I’m tossed and thrown amidst your waves unknown, camouflaged will find new peace. Another sandy surface I will rest upon, viewing the sceanery unborn. Night will draw and day break will rise, this isolated pebble in multitude disguise. Aching and breaking likened to youre waves, having traveled through seaweed. bays and caves…..arriving somewhere…...belonging….nowhere…trod upon everywhere…....it matters not…. / Sun on fire it dries me up….the cracks commence to appear…..quench my thirst….respect my wish…..swim away with me to a safer beach….....beyond reach…... / What is this I’m entangled now golden locks skin of brown…. / should I be afraid?.....where am I layed….. / Eyes of visionary blue staring back from the sea….a gentle hand that caresses the very heart of me…..yes I have a heart im a smart pebble…..no longer afraid…...Ive now been adopted on this sand….... a protective mermaid…takes me in hand…..how lucky can one pebble be ?...........
