What a sight this was, the sky was burning orange! I love how the city looks so small compared to that enormous storm cloud… this was taken at ascot, looking over Brisbane 17.05.08 at 4:55 pm just as the sun was setting… This storm was incredible to watch, until i had to run back to the car because the wind was going to pick me and my camera up + within minutes the city wasn’t visible anymore…

If you are ever not coping with life, be creative! It brings you out of the doldrums in a big way! The satisfaction of seeing something that you created is a wonderful feeling. I hope that this feeling comes across in these series, created in December 2008. Has anyone else noticed how much this person Anonymous wrote & no-one seems to know where he lived, what he looked like?! He was so talented, wasn’t he?! This photograph of Queensland Railway Tracks was taken in February 2005. It is taken in the morning between Quilpie and Charleville, looking west. There is more to come in this series, still being created! This card (graphics) were designed in December 2008, using Photoshop. Scaly-breasted Lorikeet This lorikeet is common in most timbered areas of Eastern Australia from Bamaga, the tip of North Queensland, south to Illawarra district on the New South Wales south coast; also on some offshore islands. They are generally confined to coastal plains and adjacent tablelands; occasionally found along watercourses west of the Great Dividing Range. They are abundant and mostly sedentary in north; less numerous and nomadic in the south. Canon 50D | ISO 100 | f11 | 2.5 | 10mm About Lake Moogerah ah la Lake Fog. The sun was rising to the left, but the colours in the sky, oh my. A very dominating foreground, perhaps too much so. Processing HDR (-1, 0, +1). Processed in Photomatix and then back to LR2 and PS for some Soft Light, sharpening and clarity.

Besides eagles, black cockatoos would have to be my favorite birds, they are so majestic. I’m instantly alert when i hear their call. These 2 were in a large flock of about 20, landing in the trees around where I was photographing the Glasshouse Mountains. Stirred up by the storms passing through, they were more chirpy than usual.
