Waist deep in the water !
A happy mistake, a daylight savings miscalculation saw me up many hours before sunrise – I shot this image in the twilight with a 4 min exposure.

Dawn at Queenscliff pier
Tenders at rest in the pale pre dawn glow. One of subjects I love to shoot most at Queenscliff, finally after many trips and years I feel like I got ‘it’ this time.
A soft misty fog in the early morning twilight hours at Queenscliff Pier. / Featuring the shelter shed and boat shed, Bellarine Peninsula, near Geelong / Taken on Fuji S3 Pro
another attempt at HDR, this time on the “Klondyke” which is on the railway siding at Queenscliff
This photo was taken during early on a winter day with the clouds rolling in over the ocean.
The light was changing every minute. I climbed over some huge rocks to get into a great position to take some surfing shots, when suddenly this huge cloud covered up the sun. Suddenly the beautiful light illuminating the waves the surfers were riding was gone. I looked to my left and noticed the light here. Quickly, I grabbed my stuff and setup this shot…..only got one frame, because soon after this the light here was also gone. Photo of Fort Queenscliff with the Black Lighthouse which is inside the fort one of two lighthouses at Queenscliff.
An old boat sitting safely on the shore at Queenscliff in Victoria, Australia. Kept finding myself going back to this boat to take photos, looked so sad sitting by itself. Black and White conversion in Lightroom, HDR in Photomatix.
a gloomy sky and a sinister car boot
There is something different about this shot. Something that makes it different from my other photos. Any guesses? Ok, i’ll give you a clue, it was taken on my new toy, the Canon 50D! A nice upgrade for me, and so far i’m very impressed with the image quality, with only minor post adjustments needed. This is one RAW shot processed in Adobe Lightroom. Also, you’ll notice that there aren’t any other photographers in the shot. Thats because all 5 of them were directly behind me. I think i may have ruined their shots, sorry!
