A quechua (inca) ceremony for peace, conducted on sacred ground at Pikillacta, the location of extensive ruins from the Wari culture. Pikillacta is located in the Valle Sur, about an hour from Cusco in the Peruvian Andes. The feather is from a sacred American owl, the plants traditional medicine of the area. Quechua and Aymara were the main languages spoken by the native people of the central highland of South America before the arrival of the spanish ! / In the rural areas of Ayacucho, in central Peru, like in the areas around Cusco the majority of native people still speaks Quechua and some of them barely spanish ! / I didn´t meet many tourists during the time spent in this part of Peru and i really felt immerse in a different reality ! / .
