Colourful houses stacked onto the hillside around Brixham harbour in Torbay, South Devon, with the setting sun perfectly complimenting the illuminated shopfronts on the harbourside. A single trawler is moored beside the quay safely home from a day of fishing. The fishermen had their catch of the day, as did I. View the rest of our portfolio here Or visit our own website here

Smoking. Femme fatale, film noir style. / Low-key portraits are my all time favourite thing. This image forms part of my project about smoking. I have asked everyone I have photographed for permission first. I felt it was important to be honest, up front and to respect people. I think it is still possible to get a pure image even though I have made myself known to the subject. / This was taken at Newcastle Quayside.

One of my favorite shots of the sage, loved the way it was reflecting the sunset on the huge expanse curved glass, balanced by the colder hues of the steel surrounding it.

There seems to be something fascinating to me about fishing boats, not so much the modern boats, but the older ones: they have a certain charm about them, and this one grabbed my attention while on a visit to Brighton Marina. The lobster pots and other quayside clutter add interest too.
-
My first attempt at a night time panoramic shot. Taken from the Tyne Bridge. Composed of three shots stitched together with CS3. Any comments about this attempt would be appreciated. As I say its my first attempt and I’m not to sure if its as good as some of my other Panoramas. This shot is best viewed LARGE
