Tampa Bay Florida, USA I love Florida – always have. As a small baby-girl on the reservation I had scrap books filled of anything Florida! I’ll never forget the first time I saw a palm tree once I made it here from the Reservation. That moment changed my life forever because I had pulled it off… I had made it to Florida! Amen! From where I was standing – sky was the limit! Other than the tourists – its very hard to look around and find anything unappealing to the eye. Here is an example. I found it to be nothing short of stunning! I feel I did the subject justice when I photographed it. I hope you think so too! / ____ / / / _____ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Amidst the great forests of East Gippsland this remote pocket is one of countless areas under threat from logging. This spot is maidst trackless rainforest high in the ranges in truely isolated country and to say that it took some getting to would be an understatement ! but the feeling of being somewhere so untouched and where little to few people have probably ever been is something that I will cheerish forever ! / EOS A2, Fuji Velvia 50. / ©T.Middleton2008 —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / / / see more of my enivonments under threat related photography by clicking below / /

Walking along the southern-most street in Mendocino, CA is a great thing to do in early summer. The flowers are in every yard and some yards are…well, you wouldn’t believe it if I told you. Overwhelming is the best way I can describe it. :-) One of the fences facing the street had some colour begging to come out and play so I snatched a picture of it before it found a playmate.

My idea of an idealised English Village Scene, exectured in oils on board. If anyone wonders about the title-it was an ‘ideal’ village in a 1960’s episode of ‘The Avengers’. Steed & Mrs Peel discovered that the whole village had gon into the contract elimination business! I hope my version is much more peacable!

A still-life shot of an old teacup with a miniature bouquet of flowers.

Another view from yesterday. The Ship Inn in the foreground, with its old Smuggling history, now turned into a curiosity shop and museum. The coastal road snaking its way towards Saltburn and a smear of sea coal smudging the sand before the victorian pier. In the distance, the blast furnace belches smoke into the darkening sky.

My version of an idealised England-not much to do with real life, i know, but fun nonen the less. We have A little shop, a thatched cottage, a Morris Minor (ope topped of course!), red phone box, pillar box, glowing summer sunlight etc…..
-
Another of my views of an imagined England that probably never was. In a real cliche, but never the less pleasant dream, roses climb around the door of a stone cottage.

Natchitoches, Louisiana, is a quaint little university town in northern Louisiana. The Cane River runs through the town where Sunday morning strollers love to gather. Some may remember that Natchitoches was the place where Steel Magnolias was filmed.
