Maybe some of my best works – I’m not sure. Sure was fun making them. Thanks for viewing. PS. Nearly lost my balls making the November image. Come to think of it, I’ve nearly lost my balls on numerous occasions whilst making photographs in the last few years. Those farm fences can be dangerous. :) Title of image: Cover – Australia Rock Narooma / January – Hotel Australia / February – Twelve Apostles Port Campbell National Park / March – Beechworth / April – Murray Valley Highway / May – Mount Beauty / June – Dog Rocks / July – Dingoes / August – Hervey Bay whale Festival / September – Cattle Drive / October – Australian Outback / November – Evening glow – Narrandera / December – Twelve Apostles Become a fan of Darren Stones at Facebook. / Follow Darren Stones at Twitter: /

Broadwater Witches © Vicki Ferrari These are a group of Pandanas trees, along the Broadwater, on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. When I saw these trees, I just thought of a gathering of spirits, all standing together, like a coven of witches! That was the inspiration for this calendar! I hope you like it! / Vicki
Bambino music is honestly the cutest musical group in the QYC family – they are also the youngest!! Each week, “Kodak” moments are created between children and parents as they sing songs and dance with scarves and ribbons, shake shakers, play the drum or ring the bells. Bambino children circle to the left and jump up and down in wagons, they knock Humpty off the wall, swim with fishy in the water and find Birdie her nest. They gallop around and have bounce rhymes on their grown-up’s knees, they count fingers and toes, roll their hands and hide teddy bears and all through this they are learning to internalise the foundations of music – beat, pitch and rhythm. The above was reproduced from the QYC 25th Gala Performance Program. Please note – Calendars can be custom made. Please email me at email@michellelegg.com and let me know what images you would like to see with what month. Images can be found at http://www.michellelegg.com Kind regards / MichelleL

Marion Wood has been the musical director of this group for many years now and I can understand why she gets so much joy from this group and loves spending time with them. They are a talented group of kids who went above and beyond the call of duty for all photos taken. Please note – Calendars can be custom made. The Queensland Youth Choir has been a huge and important part of Rhonda Coady’s life over the last 25 years and I could see why. The Youth in that group (aged from Year 4 to Year 9) were amazing to watch. Their self discipline, co-operation and friendships with each other was evident for all to see and I just had a ball capturing that emotion. Please note – Calendars can be custom made. Maitlohn Drew is the driving force behind this group of talented young men and women. Ranging from Year 9 through to Year 12 their ability to sing different genres was amazing. By the end of the night photographing this talented group, I was humming the songs on my way home. Please note – Calendars can be custom made. Michael Wilson is the Musical Director of a group of “old” people who meet each week to sing, laugh and practice their choreography. Vox Populus is one of the newest ensembles of the QYC family and I just love this quote from Michael “who said you can’t teach old dogs new tricks!” I had a ball photographing this group and by the end of the night left with the biggest smile on my face.
