  • A brilliantly witty piece of stencil graffiti of the famous Monty Python Funny Walk sketch. It’s the one where the wonderful John Cleese is a civil servant in the Ministry of Silly Walks and true to his role stalks around his office in a series of increasingly daft walks. Someone has taken the time and effort to cut out a stencil of eight stages of the most iconic of the Silly Walks and then to go to a particularly unattractive and scruffy industrial area on Manchester to spray the stencil right at the bottom of a garage door. Very bizarre!

  • Jenny as a ghede, an intermediary between the living and the dead. She’s a trickster. Her crow and reticulated python are both albino, and their names are Nebakenezar and Loa, respectively. She wears a ring made from a 1922 double-died wheat penny, and her crow wear a tooth that once belonged to the pirate queen Mary Reade. If you give her an apple or a very nice kiss, she’ll let you wear her hat. My sister and I have always been totally enamored with voodoo, and the more I learn about it, the more I love it.

  • We were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to get this shot. / It is a fairly new practice at the zoo to let the pythons loose on the grassed picnic area for people to see. The keepers are there to answer questions & give a talk. Taken at Perth Zoo, South Perth, Western Australia. I am not sure what snake this is exactly, I was so busy concentrating on getting the shot that i completely missed the keepers talk Lol….Python? Boa Constrictor? • Pythons, are a family of non-venomous snakes found in Africa, Asia and Australia. Among its members are some of the largest snakes in the world. Eight genera and 26 species are currently recognized. Found in subsaharan Africa, peninsular India, Myanmar, southern China, Southeast Asia and from the Philippines southeast through Indonesia to New Guinea and Australia. In the United States an introduced population of Burmese pythons, Python molurus bivittatus, has existed as an invasive species in the Everglades National Park since the late 1990s. Many species have been hunted aggressively, which has decimated some, such as the Indian python, Most members of this family are ambush predators, in that they typically remain motionless in a camouflaged position and then strike suddenly at passing prey. They will generally not attack humans unless startled or provoked, although females protecting their eggs can be aggressive. Large adult specimens can kill people. Unsuspecting children can and have been preyed upon and swallowed whole after being suffocated. Reports of attacks on human beings were once more common in South and Southeast Asia, but are now quite rare. As is capture …. “Python …...” was featured in Extreme Close-Ups
