It’s Paris, It’s the Louvre, It’s the Glass Pyramid from the Da Vinci Code. It’s also a 10-20mm lens and above all… a pleasure and privilege to have been there again!

Since our dawn, man has always looked to the stars to make sense of the chaos that we create. And to me, it only seems fitting that our future should lie beyond our own planet, if we don’t mess it all up first. The main tone underlying this work is that we should look at our history in order to understand our future – and I’ve used the Mayans as a reference to the good and bad things that we have achieved. I’d like to think that this being dominating the artwork could very well be us, in our own creation of what we believe as interstellar beings. Kind of like life imitating art. The dome of his head is actually Mars, a planet many have speculated that could be an older version of our own Earth and a glimpse into our future. Behind the his head, and also tattooed on his brow, is part of the very advanced Mayan long-count calendar, which runs out on the 22nd December 2012 – a date that many historians are looking forward to, especially given today’s fragile climate. Some speculate that it could mark an approximate date to the end of life as we know it. Which ties in with other totally unrelated theories about our oil crisis, global warming, and so on. / In his eyes, he sees a horizon of fire which symbolizes the earth cleansing itself, although we’d see it as mass destruction. This is synonomous with our understanding of the Mayan civilization and how it overpopulated and crumbled under the high demand of such an over-indulgent society. The moon shots are from the recent lunar eclipse. I included this because the moon plays such an important part in our life, and the stabalisation of the planet – it moves away from the Earth at just under 4cm each year. Finally, I’ve used the Mayan Chichen Itza temple at the bottom of the piece as a stairway to the heavens, common with Mayan, Egyptian, and other beliefs.

This photo was taken in 2007 at Karnak temple (Egypt. Africa). The Karnak temple complex, universally known only as Karnak, describes a vast conglomeration of ruined temples, chapels, pylons and other buildings. It is located near Luxor in Egypt. This was ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut (“The Most Selected of Places”), the main place of worship of the Theban Triad with Amun as its head, in the monumental city of Thebes. The complex retrieves its current name from the nearby and partly surrounding modern village of el-Karnak, some 2.5km north of Luxor. / The complex is a vast open-air museum and the largest ancient religious site in the world. It is probably the second most visited historical site in Egypt, second only to the Giza Pyramids near Cairo. It consists of four main parts (precincts) of which only one is accessible for tourists and the general public. This is the Precinct of Amun-Re, and this it is also the main part of the complex and by far the largest part. The term Karnak is often understood as being the Precinct of Amun-Re only, as this is the only part most visitors normally see. The three other parts, the Precinct of Montu, the Precinct of Mut and the Temple of Amenhotep IV (dismantled), are closed to the public. There also are a few smaller temples and sanctuaries located outside the enclosing walls of the four main parts, as well as several avenues of human and ram-headed sphinxes connecting the Precinct of Mut, the Precinct of Amon-Re, and Luxor Temple. / The key difference between Karnak and most of the other temples and sites in Egypt is the length of time over which it was developed and used. Construction work began in the 16th century BC. Approximately thirty pharaohs contributed to the buildings, enabling it to reach a size, complexity, and diversity not seen elsewhere. Few of the individual features of Karnak are unique, but the size and number of features are overwhelming. The all seeing eye – symbol of a sinister elite running the world and keeping the population in blind ignorance, turning this glorious humanity into human cattle. If you do not believe their is a sinister force overseeing this earth, with politicians and presidents as mere frontmen and pawns in their game, then it is time to open your eyes, time to look beyond what they taught you in school and away from what your righteous leaders and mass media are feeding us. / The all seeing eye is a powerful symbol of a global elite, handed down from ancient Egypt, a nation that was an abomination in the eyes of the lord, his cry to the faithful is ‘come out of Egypt’ yet as can be seen on the dollar bill and on countless apparent Christian relics and in media propaganda, the world is under the spell of Babylon and egypt. / The eye on the top of the pyramid is a great blasphemy, as Satan can only mimic the creator, so does this sign mimic God, proclaiming itself the all knowing, the all seeing, the light, and so on, it takes Christ’s place as the capstone. / The problem for believers in a conspiracy who are atheists, and there are many, is that the highest force they will ever know is a human elite, a power they know deep down will never be removed by any amount of people power or public exposure. / But believers in God know that no matter the power of a secret world order, there is a force incomprehensibly higher than them. The farthest boundaries of our knowledge and advancement are but nought to him, we can look in telescopes to the ends of the galaxies ,but to him we and all knowledge are perhaps tiny elements packed like sardines in a tin. And one day the higher being will reach down and pull back the lid of that tin. And when that sky rolls away from overhead we will be exposed to something unimaginable, something that no painter, no psychedelic drug, or Hollywood director can dare to imagine. / And for the believers in Christ, there is the certainty that he is coming back to take his rightful place, no eye on a pyramid will prevent this. A glorious and terrifying future lies ahead for this earth, and there is only one who can save you, and that is Christ. Now here’s something you don’t see every day. / The cement pyramid is actually a tank trap. They were placed along sand dunes in Stockton (right on the coast) to protect Williamtown air base during World War II. They can be found in different locations throughout Newcastle now. I think the ones left at Stockton have been covered by sand. this is the star pyramid in holy rude cemetry in stirling just next to the castle, a cemetry full of weird and wonderful carvings on the gravestones. the structure is said to commemorate all those that died for their christian beliefs.
