This shot is one of my favourites because it tells such a story. In the forground is a wallet being held by one of my colleagues Bart. He is buying the basket being held by the Rwandan woman in the middle of the shot. All eyes are on the transaction. This represents life and death in Africa as much as any other portrait. It is positive, but you can also feel the tension, the need, the hope. All proceeds to charity. I might even buy this myself. – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Black & white photography – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Monotone photography
I created these 2 pieces (slightly different from one another Transcension By Devine Light ) then a title came to mind (btw~it always happens this way for me) the word TRANSCENSION, it fit it perfectly then i pulled it up on google and found this article: Answering the Fermi Paradox: Exploring the Mechanisms of Universal Transcension, © 2002-2007 by John Smart / http://www.accelerating.org/articles/answeringfermiparadox.html / This was the section that stood out to me: / In transcension, once intelligence saturates its local environment, it is constrained to leave local spacetime. It learns how to enter hyperspace, that suspected multidimensional environment hinted at in our string, supersymmetry, and M-theory, and within which cosmologists tell us new universes may be born and other yet-uncertain events may happen. In transcension, advanced intelligence inevitably moves out of our slow and computationally-restrictive spacetime, multi-locally, once it reaches a certain point in its development. The developmental singularity hypothesis is one of several possible versions of the transcension scenario, but it need not be proven correct for constrained transcension to remain the destiny of local intelligence. / In this section i read, i realized this is what i was deplicting, a transformation of this being into a higher state and leaving of this space and time. Isnt it amazing how something you create triggers you to find its meaning and a justification of why you sought out to create it? Lisa C. GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS / Photo best viewed large. / / / / / / FEATURED WORKS / “GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS” was FEATURED in the group #1 ARTISTS OF RED BUBBLE / / / I took this photo of Mammatus on a Good Friday before Easter in Ashland, Kentucky. The clouds first started rolling in and looked like fluffy white marshmallows. Then in front of the setting sun they dramatically began to change colors. They went from snow white to shades of silvers, pinks, grays, blues and even purples! The colors were quite striking and dramatic; these clouds were nothing like anything I had ever seen before! For a few minutes they turned very dark, and it was a sight I will never forget!! These amazing mammatus clouds lasted about 45 minutes before they exited my area. / / / We were under our second tornado watch of the year, and I found out later that I was standing right under the anvil of a severe thunderhead and that a tornado could have formed at any moment! Luckily for me it didn’t, and I was able to capture some phenomenal, amazing clouds. I can’t quite put it into words other than to say, “I closed my eyes for a few seconds and felt like I had been kissed on my cheek by an angel.” This was one time in my life that I will always remember!!! / / / This photograph of “GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS” has won National awards, been published in an Anthology, and has been shown on National television. This image is also featured in several websites and blogs throughout the USA and Australia for educational purposes. / / /
Just something my eye caught, thought it was pretty!
This is Bindi, my little mutt ragdoll angora ferret. She was just 9 months old when I took this photo. Bindi will be 2-years old in September. It was pure luck that I got this shot. She is probably the hardest of my ferrets to photograph as she is so tiny and fast. I will never get this shot again, it was a once in a blue moon shot. She barely weighs a pound, she came from Carolina Ferrets out of North Carolina. She is so sweet. Best viewed larger
“O my Father, thou that dwellest / In the high and glorious place, / When shall I regain thy presence / And again behold thy face? / In thy holy habitation, / Did my spirit once reside? / In my first primeval childhood / Was I nurtured near thy side?” / / “For a wise and glorious purpose / Thou hast placed me here on earth / And withheld the recollection / Of my former friends and birth; / Yet ofttimes a secret something / Whispered, “You’re a stranger here,” / And I felt that I had wandered / From a more exalted sphere.” / / “I had learned to call thee Father, / Thru thy Spirit from on high, / But, until the key of knowledge / Was restored, I knew not why. / In the heav’ns are parents single? / No, the thought makes reason stare! / Truth is reason; truth eternal / Tells me I’ve a mother there.” “When I leave this frail existence, / When I lay this mortal by, / Father, Mother, may I meet you / In your royal courts on high? / Then, at length, when I’ve completed / All you sent me forth to do, / With your mutual approbation / Let me come and dwell with you.” “O My Father” is a Latter-day Saint (LDS or Mormon) hymn written by Eliza R. for Now here’s my darkside “My Darkside” seeks to explore issues of identity and meaning and the questioning of one’s life and purpose over time and beyond time. There is deliberate loneliness and isolation as the viewer is invited to journey in the small boat in the moonlight of her face. The only light that the moon has to offer is a reflection of the sun, other than that it is nothing but a cold dark stone. Acrylic and Mixed Media on Canvas / February 2009 / 92cm x 92cm

Update 06 December 2009 Important NOTICE / / I want the option of turning off the “share” features on RedBubble. / To say this new feature is annoying is an understatement, especially since it was recently added without my knowledge or agreement. / On another subject: I discovered today a “social bookmarking site for pictures” ..... An extension allows someone to post an image to their account by right clicking on it.” / / At the bottom of the page there is a tab which asks / “Do you have any questions, bug reports or wishes?” / So, I clicked on that and reported my request for my images to be removed. Any tips on preventing this? I thought we had right/click protection on this site! / / Occasionally, depending upon how busy I am, I search for myself on the internet using various search engines available. It is always interesting to see what appears, what is unrelated to me, and what is attached to my name, and I have learned to be wary and careful of which websites to open, for there are some in other countries which actually are more like land mines raising all manner of red flags with my computer security software. / / Even so, I conducted a search today, a rather extensive search using my name and certain keywords. And I discovered this webpage with my image, along with many other photographers and artists. I can tell you I am very upset that so many people on the internet so blatantly ignore my copyright notice. This member does not have my permission to reproduce my image in their collection of “Favourites”. It is outrageous that we have no control over our imagery and how it is copy/pasted, downloaded/shared ….... / / You may wish to have a look at this webpage to see if your images are here as well. Some I recognise from artists here on RedBubble and some look very familiar. I am sending a request for the website to delete and immediately remove my copyrighted work/s from their site. It does not matter to me that this person links my image back to my RedBubble site, I do not like the share feature and seeing my imagery on another website without my prior written authorization. As a member of RedBubble we should have the option of whether or not we wish to share our content. / / You may open this link to view the images this person has “collected” and gleaned from the internet. / vi.sualize.us / / Here is the code for the my image, which is completely different from my own image, found in the properties of the “shared” image. / http://img1.visualizeus.com/thumbs/09/04/02/beach,beauty,ocean,sea,torrent-c2ee3bfa23547fb2d111613f9d9b23bf_h.jpg / / As clearly stated on the front page of my portfolio:* / I own full and exclusive copyrights on all my photographs, digital art and images on this website and they are protected under International Copyright laws.
