  • A Muse of Sorts… She floats around offering advice and inspiration. She whispers into the ears of the willing and those who seek perfection. To some, she is as real as day or night. To others she is merely a figment of imagination. What is she to you? - This picture is interesting because it originally started as a pencil drawing, lol. Every time I was late to be picked up from school I worked on this. Today I was stranded for a half an hour and I sort of finished it. I decided to color it and I’m really liking the results. Enjoy.

  • In this painting I have endeavored to reduce the landscape down to its absolute minimum, focusing purely on the line of salt-bush on the horizon, with one solitary bird hovering in the air, to give the impression of the raw empty heat of a mid day summer where nothing stirs until l the cool of the evening. . . • Late afternoon, smell of Italian herbs, garlic and tasty pizza, everything so peaceful and tranquil, you only hear the waves at the lake and quick steps in the narrow street… An evening in Malcesine, a lovely village at the shore of Lago di Garda (Garda Lake), Italy. / Taken already in August 2001, the photograph I originally got from the lab was all but perfect and quite disappointing: white sky, black foreground, no details, simply too much contrast. But I couldn’t forget the lovely scene… When I got a film scanner in 2007 (finally!), this was one of the first film frames I have scanned. And there was really much more on the negative! Enjoy the atmosphere :) /

  • Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) My mate AffectMachine made a card/print in response to Seashore Sally entitled – She Being – Response to Sea Shore Sally Seashore Sally by Karin Taylor is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper (ink pastel acrylic charcoal) I drew/painted this a long time ago, it was the first time i applied a real face to a painting, ie real eyes instead of dots etc. and I wasn’t very happy or confident about doing it at the time, as I had done only dots for eyes, and the lady who purchased it asked me if i could apply a face for her…after i did it, she said it reminded her very much of her sister in law, luckily…she liked her sister in law! lol
