This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. Something from the vault… another dandelion photo… I just keep discovering these, haha. There’s a gold mine of them on my hard drive. I don’t remember what I used as the background for this, but I edited the saturation to make the red really pop and it reminded me of star bursts. You know the candy, hehe… Enjoy!

Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

Likewise, I have spared no color and subjected none to mute. Vibrant and lively, this is a happy painting with no apologies! Color pencil is applied layer upon layer, until a deep.rich saturation is achieved. It is then hand polished to a satiny sheen, and finished with a medium gloss finish. Bored and needing some new “material”, I headed outside with Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm f/2.8 Macro and SB800 flash. After blinding multiple insects, I settled down at my blooming Hydrogena. Amazing what nature will “paint” for us.

Koppitz is best known for his works of the human figure including his iconic Bewegungsstudie, “Motion Study” and his use of the nude in natural settings.
