The sunlight through the petals and leaves looked lovely against the backdrop of the snow outside. Our short days make sunshine seem all the more precious, even indoors. About a month ago I was bought some beautiful tulips. I sketched them in pencil hoping I could use them in a later painting, here they are. Of course, there had to be a cat too, this one is called Tulalah. She is shy and likes to hide, she loves only the best things in life, so has her favourite Clarice Cliff pottery on show.
