  • I Want to Purchase Your Artwork!

As some of you know I currently have a “Call for Art” out on the net for interested artists. More information about it is located here When talking with some artists, they felt the cost to ship their works to be in the show was too much for them, and also being that they live in other countries, attendance would not be something they would be able to do. So here is a solution that I have come up with. I will purchase your artwork off of Redbubble to be in the show. After the show, I will keep it for my personal collection to do with what I please with your permission of course. This will provide an opportunity for artists that have never had their work shown before a wonderful opportunity, as well as gaining international recognition for those who havent had a show in another country. If this is of interest to you, please place a link below of your pieces of artwork to be considered. The particulars about the show are in the link provided above. Please be sure to be in theme with the show. I look forward to purchasing some new works and also sharing your talent with others. : ) / ___________ / Please note this offer is now closed! Thank you to all whom have submitted for consideration! : )

  • The Last Ray of Sun
    by Peter Kurdulija

    US$4.13–US$110.20

What do you call the light that permanently imprints itself into the deepest corner of your cerebral real estate? Just a memorable one, divine, sublime? The star was going down fast, as it was just a matter of ‘to get it over and done with‘ a daily sunset routine – until that moment. Like it was switched on by some all powerful hand residing somewhere in the center of a kingdom of light, the sunbeam reached across the valley, bringing all the associated attributes with it, like joy and warmth, just for a few moments, before disappearing altogether. The blue cold haze drowned the beautiful Hawkes Bay valley, but not before the last ray of sun got there first. I was standing in awe … for a while in fact, still in disbelief. Review button and LCD screen confirmed it did happen. Sweet. I’ll treasure selfishly the melody of breeze passing through the treetops, the smell of golden grass and feel of fallen leafs under my feet. Not to worry, I left something to share with you. Here it is.

  • Escape Infinite Future Chaos
    by GCPhoto

    US$4.56–US$121.60

Took a different approach for the photoshpcreative07 competition and decided to reverse the concept. Here a lone survivor condemned to a future of infinite chaos manages to escape back into a alternate past of infinite possibility. This could be a physical escape or projected from within the travellers mind; an internal escape to fantasy, much like the ending of Brazil. Have since sold the image for use on the cover of the Griffith Review – yay.

  • Grace
    by Peter Kurdulija

    US$3.99–US$106.40

I was not going to leave the zoo without this image. The beautiful bird, I first saw the outlines of through the man planted flora, gracefully glided across the artificial pond. Its motion cut a gentle trail in the small, evening breeze caused ripples. I set an ambush at the narrow part of the pond and waited patiently. No good. The introverted animal was too edgy when passing by, and emerged in and out of the dark shadows at unpredictable intervals. This was going to be a long haul. Luckily, with the ambient light we both needed running out quickly, my desire to capture the elegant curves of this creature and its routine craving to nibble a bit before the day expired reached an uneasy, but welcomed equilibrium. I held my breath and pushed the button with my cold stiffened finger. Timeless beauty. This is not a great story, just a blurb, with a moral that outweighs its size. The ever relevant message to those who take away your freedom is to realize they will never be able to deprive you of your Dignity, your Grace.

  • Invisible City
    by Peter Kurdulija

    US$3.99–US$106.40

The writing is on the wall – if you can see it, you can’t read it. I passed this sculpture so many times. You have to. It is made of stainless steel and placed in one of the busiest Wellington streets, in the perfect position to capture the colorful lights of the city after daylight, the nightglow of the capital. The ‘Invisible City’, as it’s called, is the gigantic panel of Braille text that highlights the communication gap between those who can’t see and the rest of us. The post is designed to remember all the folks, my countrymen and yours, the often invisible part of society, all those who finish schools, who work, play music, do sports, pay taxes, have and raise children, to the benefit of us all.

I logged into Redbubble this morning to find out that I had sold 2 canvas prints… yes, not one, but TWO!!!!! I was so ecstatic that I was almost dancing around the loungeroom!! :o) The mystery as to who had purchased them was solved when I logged into my email account… I’d received an email from a lovely lady who lives in the US saying that she’s purchased them for her baby daughters nursery (who will be born in September) and wants me to send her a little blurb about myself so that she can stick it to the back of each print. Needless to say I sent her a huge thank you and really hope that the two she’s chosen look wonderful hanging in the nursery! HEAVENLY / FROM THE INSIDE /
