This and other artworks are available through my gallery This unique artwork, a modern rendition with an Eastern influence, looks like a smooth, shiny – possibly bronze – statue of a monk or a student sitting in the lotus position. The head is bent over while the student intently studies the scrolls of his master, and it is the Moment of Enlightenment. The heap of scrolls on the pupil’s lap seem to emanate a light of their own, as the student seeks to understand their knowledge, and achieves wisdom in return. Dominican pupils on field trip at Colombo Square – Santo Domingo - Best viewed larger The moment was full of magichal atmosphere:the voices of the children, the flight of the pigeons, the woosh of the leaves moved by the wind…A FANTASTIC MOMENT TO CAPTURE! Watching this shot I can feel the same emotions , the same excitement felt at that moment over there…a real full immertion in the depth of the Dominican sound or, as they say “EL SAVOR DOMENICANO” Thaken with my CYBER SHOT Compact Camera – SONY – February 2009 “AS IS” – No editing – No manipulation
Numberism Artist Trading Card (2.5” x 3.5” pen on Illustration Board). I think I’m looking for a challenge lately. Show more detail, try to draw elementals with numbers, like fire, water, smoke: something along these lines. This is my eye.

I found this Self Portrait recently when looking through an Art Journal I hadn’t seen for a couple of years. It was done with India Ink on 110gsm Cartridge paper, using my favourite style of brush; a Number 10 Sable Rigger, which has 3.5 cm bristles and holds a lot of ink or paint, and is beautiful for long flowing lines, and depending on the pressure applied can produce a wide or very fine stroke from the belly or from the toe ( tip). / I did this portrait shortly after facial surgery ( my nose isn’t usually quite that large, and the Frankensteinian forehead scar is not now as noticeable, though I still sometimes scare young children and some adults ), and I was in a lot of pain, and using narcotics. I was also wearing my hair in a rattail, which really shouldn’t be done by middle-aged men. ( Out of interest I looked up the style in Wikipedia), which gives this rather unflattering description ‘As the hairstyle has become less popular, it has been increasingly associated with redneck culture and is a common characteristic found in stereotypes of lower class’ and I became quite offended, as I may be lower class, but have never seen myself as a redneck! / All that being said, it is a fair resemblance, even if it does portray me as a lowlife redneck junkie with a stupid haircut!

Canon 400D / Macro lens & ring flash I think I may have found my new obsession to photograph; eyes! I loved applying the make-up and glitter. It felt like going back to my roots of painting. Then getting out my much loved macro lens and photographing what I had created gave me much satisfaction. It was so much fun to shoot. I hope others may like this work too. Eye macro with glitter star. Thought i would try a darker image and give a new feel to my eye macro’s. It gives a sensation of someone or something hiding in the shadows. May give a reaction of fear or mystery. What emotion does it evoke for you?
