I was going for a kind of kiddish vibe to the coloring.
It was in the bathroom at work that I discovered a drain that read “Sioux Chief.” Only, I thought it said Sous Chef… thus the idea was born!!

Acrylic and metallic paint on canvas, 46” x 38”. This is a commissioned abstract work for a client re-staging her home for sale. I created this expressionistic piece to tie a black, white and tan gallery art wall I created together and to become the focal point of the room. / I call the work “Outside The Lines”, in that the strong black lines create structure and balance and yet the color does not conform to the boundaries. The wild movement of the colors contrast and create chaos within the design of symmetry.

Even the bad guys need a little downtime!
Yes, just a silly pun.
A homophone is a word that is pronounced the same as another word but differs in meaning. The words may be spelled the same, such as rose (flower) and rose (past tense of “rise”), or differently, such as carat, caret, and carrot, or to, two and too. A homophone is a type of homonym, although sometimes homonym is used to refer only to homophones that have the same spelling but different meanings. The term may also be used to apply to units shorter than words, such as letters or groups of letters that are pronounced the same as another letter or group of letters. / Homophones are often used to create puns and to deceive the reader (as in crossword puzzles) or to suggest multiple meanings ACRYLIC ART CALENDARS CARDS POETRY PHOTOGRAPHY – ANIMALS PHOTOGRAPHY -CANDID SHOTS PHOTOGRAPHY – CATS AND DOGS PHOTOGRAPHY – CONTEMPORARY WORK PHOTOGRAPHY – FLOWERS PHOTOGRAPHY – INSECTS PHOTOGRAPHY – TRADITIONALLY TURKISH PHOTOGRAPHY – TREE AND TREE PARTS T-SHİRTS My Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. A humorous drinking design with a funny cartoon.
inspired by this story Here’s a video of my drawing process … /
I started drawing odd little cartoons when I was about 11 years old. I did a series for the other kids, called “Hamburger Man;” and I enjoyed creating the silly 11-year-old humor and drawings. Over the years I’ve continued making these little things for gifts and cards, but I’ve never gotten much past the 11-year-old skill level. I’ll blame this one on the fact that I drew it tonight in about 5 minutes in a dimly-lighted room while I was watching TV. LOL…it makes me giggle, though! Drawn using Pedigree and Eagle colored pencils on standard “printer” paper. / Still practicing for Drawing Day! / / /
