Model – Meluxine The height of winter, she’s laying on wet frozen ground, in a vintage dress and my ugg boots, full to the brim with Hungry Jacks, watching me dance like a crazy person with a head cold around her when suddenly the sun breaks through right at the perfect moment, and she manages to pull of that look like it’s as easy as microwave popcorn. / This girl rocks. / / The typical (REAL) Mimosa Tree’s flower: (Source: Wikipedia) / / The Persian Silk Tree’s Flower: (Source: Wikipedia) / / And the flower of the Mimosapudica: (Source: Wikipedia) / / Now see my photo, do you see the difference? They are similar, but there are significant differences / BLOG ENTRY / Last year we had a ball trying to name this flower and in the end, I received numerous suggestions to say that this is a mimosa tree’s flower. My parents planted this shrub years ago and they used to call it the “rain flower”. Every time rain is expected, it would bloom. ;D As I am still not very sure about the name of this plant, I am calling it the powder puff flower. This name was one of the suggestions I received, and I think it fits the flower perfectly!
