This spikey critter is a puffer fish, but more correctly known as a globe fish. They are very common in the waters of Eastern and Southern Australia. Designed to deter predation from other fish, they also puff up their spikes like this when they are annoyed by marauding scuba divers.

Spotted a perfect dandilion puff in my backyard, it was glimmering in the sun and didn’t have a single “pufflet” out of place, lol, so I just had to snap away. Thank goodness we have been a little slack on the mowing.

This is CoCoPuff. She is 5 years old and is a Pin/Pom. Half Pomeranian and half Mini-Pinscher. I was a cat person until we got her from a breeder out in the upper desert. She gets along fine (most of the time) with my 5 cats. My entire family is crazy about her because she is fun, sweet and loving. / /

Cream Puffs 1 cup water / 75g butter / 1 cup plain flour / pnch salt / 4 small eggs Bake in a hot oven 10 mins then moderate oven for 20 mins until golden and then leave the oven off and door ajar to cool. Put water and butter in a pan over low heat until butter is melted. Bring to the boil, take off heat. Add sifted flour and salt all at once into pot and stir until mixture comes to a ball. Put mixture into a electric mixer and blend in eggs one at a time. Mixture will be smooth and glossy. Pipe or drop spoonfuls on to a tray While cooling stab with a knife so they can dry out. Vanilla Cream. Whip i cup of cream with castor sugar to taste and add 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Chocolate Melt chocolate and drizzle over the top !:

A female Eastern bluebird is all puffed up and fluffy; looks like an old-fashioned powder puff in a lady’s boudoir! I took this photo on my patio. According to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, “The Eastern Bluebird is a small thrush with a big, rounded head, large eye, plump body, and alert posture. The wings are long, but the tail and legs are fairly short. The bill is short and straight. Male Eastern Bluebirds are vivid, deep blue above and rusty or brick-red on the throat and breast. Blue in birds always depends on the light, and males often look plain gray-brown from a distance. Females are grayish above with bluish wings and tail, and a subdued orange-brown breast. Eastern Bluebirds perch erect on wires, posts, and low branches in open country, scanning the ground for prey. They feed by dropping to the ground onto insects or, in fall and winter, by perching on fruiting trees to gulp down berries. Bluebirds commonly use nest boxes as well as old woodpecker holes. Eastern Bluebirds live in meadows and openings surrounded by trees that offer suitable nest holes.
