  I’m excited – and a little nervous too – to announce that my first book, “Songs of the Heart’s Longing” is in print and ready at Blurb publishing! I honestly never expected to write one at all but with the encouragement of so many wonderful friends here at RB, I have done it after all! I’m just a little proud of it too and I’d love to share it with you. Like other artistic efforts, books are not inexpensive, however, and I know it’s a bit of an extravagance to purchase one. That doesn’t mean I won’t be THRILLED if you do!! Shipping costs from publishers ARE rather pricey, I’m afraid, so for friends in the US only who would like a copy for $23, I’ll pick up the shipping costs if you order it directly from me. If you bubble mail me your interest, I’ll send you my address and we can make arrangements for you to get your copy.   well i didnt want to say anything until i knew for Sure, my shot of wednesday’s night fire was going to be published in our main local newspaper / this morning, i checked their website, and there it was :) / and i bundled up and went n got a newspaper and there it was!! / talk about on cloud nine right now, Finally got published with the newspaper / i scanned it.and will add link to the online story :):) / now im on the paper’s payroll, was asked if i would do assignments…i was like Oh Yeah, bring it On! the guy told me, well ill hold you to that..heh / so lets hope he Does! / this is scanned shot of the paper, im not making it public to sell, have it set as private, and besides..who would want to own a card of it? lol if ya do..contact me..ill sell it!   / The Big 30…30,000 views!!! WOW! I’m feeling old! LOL! No really, it’s great…no actually it’s fantastic! Thank you to each and every one who has become a part of my life, my views and even my artwork itself. Here are some of my favorite highlights since the last ten thousand miles… The biggest news I probably have to announce is the publishing of my artwork in “Artists of The West” book! It is a true milestone for me and a great personal success. It was an amazing project to be involved in and over a three year journey. I ended up making some great friends and contacts along the way and really bonded with everyone involved in the book. / After the release of the book there was some really exciting events to follow like the first book signing in St. Helens with the official release. / I am also doing a public book signing, autographs and a special unveiling of three of my new paintings at the Astoria Sunday Market later this month. The Astoria Sunday Market / / (Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you’re interested or would like more information on the event) Also I am VERY excited to be a part of the RedBubble Rialto Towers art exhibit ironically also on July 27th the same date of my book signing in Astoria, Oregon! My work First Tree was chosen along with 40 other works of art to show in the foyer of the Rialto Towers for a two week art show! I am honored and thrilled to be showing my work alongside the other amazing artists and my RedBubble friends! I was also a part of some wonderful collaborations My collaboration piece Through The Past To The Future with my friend Michael Gatch was a total success and incredibly fun! It was inspired by his photo Through The Past / We had such a good time we did another one… / Apple Harvest which was inspired by Michael’s photo Old Apple When I looked at this work I saw the tree as the point of life that was celebrated and brought people and family together. I wanted to I take it back in time or to another time perhaps. I also had a fantastic collaboration with my dear friend Paul Hobday / I was really inspired by his photo Twisted and had a vision of what eventually became…The Other Side Of The Fence my newest work. Again THANK YOU to each of you who took the time to view my work, comment on my work and invest into me and my career. My art work is the road in this life that I have chosen to make a living on and really…it is my life. In each painting or drawing I create I try to leave a bit of myself to be shared with another person. / Thank you so much for supporting and embracing me and one of my true loves…art!

  Ever since I was bitten with the photography bug, my dream and goal has been to get published in a book, magazine, newspaper, whatever medium it didn’t matter. This past spring a local shop in town called Downhome (the biggest promoter of Newfoundland art and photography) notified me that they were putting out a book within the next few months that was to represent Newfoundland through pictures. They had told me that they were considering using 2 of my images… well I was sooooooo excited and I couldn’t believe it. As the spring came and went and the summer faded to fall, I had completely forgotten about the book. I hadn’t heard anything more about the book or my images. It wasn’t unitl I was browsing through a local shop in town just before Christmas that I saw the book on shelves and immediatley I started flipping through the pages to see if just by chance my shots were there. The suspense was killing me. Well I got halfway through the book and then I saw it ON GUARD my first published image… what a thrill! I continued to look through the book and towards the end I saw another of my images CITY OF COLORS I was in awe and sooooo thrilled. I ran up to my wife and showed her, her excitement almost matched mine. It was such an awesome feeling. Days later the mail came and with it a parcel arrived… I opened it and to my delight the company had sent me a copy of the book. / / It has been such a fantastic experience to have some of my works published. It is a tremendous honor that others find my work appealing. I find the support of the community on this site a real motivation and it really brings out the best in my work. So I thank all you Redbubblers that have stopped by and looked through my portfolio. Your comments are always welcome and your advice is much appreciated. / / Thankyou, / / Kevin

  Yesssreeee its True!! I was asked early in January this year if i’d be interested to do a shoot for Australian Penthouse, only close friends and family was told – as i didnt want to count my chickens, so to speak. :) But yesterday i went to the newsagent and scanned the titles to see if the feature was in.. (the shoot was in late Jan), and each month, theres been nuthing, so i dont buy a copy. But this time it was!! twas near 15bux, it cost, but i had to have a copy! Now as usual people’s mind has wandered to the typical path and think ive taken my gear off, but NO.. tis MY PHOTOS are in Australian Penthouse, NooOoo, no i didnt take photos of naked women :P In the 2007 May’s issue of Australian Penthouse, with Dita Von Teese on the cover, you will find a 5 page feature article called Over The Rainbow and all the photos in that feature was taken by me at this year’s Rainbow Serpent Festival :) :) :) The article was written by Rak Razam, who gave me this most unbelievable opportunity!!   With all the encouragement and inspiration received here at redbubble, and from my wonderful friends and family, I have jumped on the publication bandwagon and had a go at the Blurb machine! Today I am really happy to receive the first copy of my book and see what a fanstastic job Blurb have done. Wow…it looks so good! (dare I say it!) My initial thoughts were to produce this book as a professional portfolio that could be presented at the galleries I approach to represent my work, but having seen the quality of the finished product, and with the strong suggestions of those gallery managers who have now viewed it, I am intending to take it to a real publishing house in the city. Obviously doing a book this way is very expensive – the shipping alone is a major deterrent! But it fires up the creative juices and the imagination and truly lets you see just what you can do! And then show it to others! I would be honoured if you would check out a preview of my book, but in the meantime, thankyou to all my redbubble family for your wonderful support and friendship over the last year. It means more to me than you know! Hugs and smiles! Announcing the publication of a new hard cover book of my words and images (please note, bad timing on my part, the Blurb website will be out for maintenance on 18th july, so no previews will be available) /

  Oh. My. Gawd. It’s a monday evening. I drove home from Uni, threw my bag somewhere near my study desk, and collapsed onto bed. But something made me get up from that ‘comfort place’ of mine and so I hopped onto RB. And guess what I saw… This was the copy which was sent to my bubblemail: Keegan The Sunday Times is wanting to do an article on RedBubble and is wanting to use your image “Taking Love to New Heights” to illustrate it. Are you happy for you image to be used in this way. You would receive full acknowledgement of course. Kind regards Martin I am gobsmacked. Throw me out the window or not…I don’t know whether this is a good or bad thing. So The Sunday TImes wants to feature RB artists…why choose my work over so many other great pieces of art which I see on a daily basis? To be honest, I’ve never received such an honour before for my photographs. But one thing’s for sure though, it certainly made Keegan’s day to know that my art is reaching many people out there whom I don’t even know. So for that…I would just like to say thank you to all my viewers, and of course, to Red Bubble. For everything.
